Not sure the sling rule is needed tbh. There haven't been a lot of 2v2's in the last 6 years, but just from the games I can remember slinging was never nearly as bad in 2v2's compared to 3v3/4v4. There is no safe pocket in 2v2's which helps a lot.
Anyway, you can just ban coinage in feudal age by using wic mod, therefore the sling will be weaker.
There has been some sling games in the first moa 2v2 in non-mirror matches. But it's nowhere as often as in 4v4.

I hereby declare that the use of "MoA" (when referring to "master of arabia") is forbidden.
Instead the abbreviation "MoAR" shall be used.

I'm keen to avoid slinging being a go-to strategy in any games of the tournament, and ideally I'd like to make it not viable at all, hence the no-sling-until-Imp rule we have currently, which pretty much amounts to an outright ban.
The only reason I'd consider changing that is to eliminate the need for any messy admin interventions resulting from accidental (or not accidental) small tributes (outright sling strategy would be an easy admin loss for the game). The SY mod has never been used and nerfs slinging harder than WiC mod, so I was considering it, but I guess the extra 20% tax (iirc) in Feudal over and above WiC mod probably still wouldn't be enough.
