Master of the Circus 2

After 18 months, it's time for the 2nd edition of the most important tournament of our generation. Master of the Circus 2 is back and bigger, starting this Monday and bringing 4 weeks of intense Arena clowning.

Signups close 16 April 18 GMT.
Ro48 - QuarterFinals: 18 April - 13 May
Semifinals: 14 May 13 GMT
Finals: 15 May 15 GMT

Short summary:
- Open signups (necessary to consider yourself a Clown or at least Friend of Arena)
- 1000 $ Prize pool
- Both finalists get a spot in an exclusive major Arena tournament in Autumn 2022
- 48 Players, Single Elimination
- Vintage Arena (brand new map made by Chrazini and Arzach) bringing huge diversity of Arena generations forcing players to react to the map instead of optimizing their LCav meta most games
- 2 most played/banned civs from each round will be banned in the rest of the tournament
- Civ drafts with rising amount of player bans during the tournament
- Fair seeding, for top16 done by High Clown Council

I assume some players have been informed in advance, but this seems rather quick. Hard to check schedules in this time. But I hope and believe we will get a great line up nonetheless.

Tournament schedule and most details were shared on my discord for 2 weeks, announcement with full details was on Wednesday on my stream and also on my discord. It's Master of the Circus, so informing clowns on clown channels had the priority. Afterall, signups should reflect the announcement of a tournament (in that case in a specific order) and looking at the current signups I'm very pleased, so don't see this short-notice aoezone announcement as a mistake.

 

Where did the $1000 prize pool come from? Sponsored? Community donated?

Well, players like Capoch, Vinch, ACCM, BacT and many more signed up after the Aoezone announcement and I doubt they would know about it otherwise. Also I think any A/S tier event should be announced here aswell, as it's also informational for viewers and potential other streamers. And while it's more comfortable for me to schedule and organize everything on my disord, at least I want keep here updated schedule calendar for viewers/casters. I get your input, it looks weird to announce it here 2 days before the tournament.

indeed some preferred players have been informed in advance and we know about that because some have been practicing for the tournament since more than 2 years already. Very unfair to the others!
