Playing WK on 1.4 is bad and buggy lolUp to host if you want WK vs AoC balance for Huns, but playing on 1.4 instead of 1.5 just seems crazy. Would be going back in time for inferior bug patches and more stuttering.

- A berry, gold, or stone tile of the starting piles is touched by an immovable natural object. (Does not apply to corners touching.)
- It is not possible to place a mill or mining camp next to or in the distance of 1 tile to a berry/gold/stone pile of the starting resources because of immovable natural objects.
Yes, the bug map rules are more inclusive than what we use to know. I wanted to try this out for a higher probability of "fair map matches". If this will be overused/abused depends on the players. The rules can be tightened if we see too much bug map restarts per game in the first rounds.Even one tile of berries/gold/stone touching another object seems like these situations might occur way to often.
If that's the reasoning, why not make AoC default (with optional WK if both agree) for all rounds up to Ro16, and have WK required starting from Ro8 when the top players face each other?Good point. Allowing 1.4 AoC is more inclusive.
I definitely agree with most of the above comments on the latest UP. Its free and makes the game run smoother, therefore it should be mandatory. As far as WK is concerned, I think from a player's perspective this should be a must. Asking people to play aoc huns war in rated voobly games (for practice ofc) is almost impossible nowadays 11. Also I think the huns meta has shifted just in enough in WK to make for interesting new strategies.
I think overall, having mixed settings can be a bit weird and the best solution imo is to just use the latest patches and mods across the board.
I doesn't have to be only two options.it means top16 vote for WK or not?
It's confirmed, LotH2 will use the Realms modI doesn't have to be only two options.
Is it possible to add a dislike button to aoezone now?Just wondering if there is any chance to use MQ instead of SQ?
People are trying to get used to MQ for some coming tournaments, so that would be helpful here as well. I think once one is used to MQ playing with SQ can be really troublesome, while the other way around isn't really a problem.
I assume you mean ECL when you say "some coming tournaments"? LotH2 overlaps with a tiny fraction of ECL, especially if you are Top 8 seed, you only have to play 4 matches maximally. While we enact the transition from AoC to WK hun wars as a standard with LotH2, I think the SQ MQ cultural change is one step behind and we don't need to address that with LotH2. In my eyes, the primary purpose of smaller tournaments isn't being helpful for participants of bigger tournaments. It's providing its own participants with enjoyable settings. That said, if suddenly most of (potential) LotH2 participants ask for MQ because they generally prefer it, that will change my mind.Just wondering if there is any chance to use MQ instead of SQ? We don't "do" AoC, individual players will or will not choose it. Reading the posts in this topic, most matches of the earlier stages will be WK, plus 50% of top 16 won't have any kind of change because they only get started in Ro16, while the other 50% can influence what change there will be or not.If you do AoC, I would suggest keeping it the same throughout the tournament rather than changing to WK at top 16.
If you ... wouldnt be so lazy to do some research you would find out that Realms Hun wars and WK hun wars are 1:1 the same, except that Realms have more graphics and such., which are a nice addition anyway...It's confirmed, LotH2 will use the Realms mod
