Lords of the Arena

I'm happy to announce my biggest event so far. In the first two weeks of February I'll host 8-player 1v1 Arena tournament featuring top players and Arena clowns. With the prize pool of 500$ sponsored by Arzach and my twitch community, it's time to see who's the best 1v1 player on the only map that matters.

Prize distribution:
Winner: 300$
Runner-up: 100$
SemiFinalists: 50$

Timeline:
Clown qualifier SemiFinals (Bo5) + Finals (Bo7): 1st - 7th of February

Main event:
QuarterFinals (Bo5): 8th - 12th of February
SemiFinals (Bo7): 13th of February 14 GMT and cca. 17 GMT
Finals: (Bo7): 14th of February 18 GMT

Every game will feature a civ draft:

Civ drafts will have 1 brand new feature: Steal. At the end of the draft, players will be able to remove one of the civs from opponent's draft and add it into their own draft (players can't steal back the civ that was stolen from them). There are no civ restrictions, players are free to use every civilization in the game including Sicilians, Burgundians and Lithuanians.

Scheduling will happen in a special discord group with all players in the tournament, confirmed matches will be posted on my discord and aoezone calendar. Recorded games will be posted on my discord server. https://discord.com/invite/MGEMBgp

Every game of the tournament is open streaming (including players streaming their PoV). Anyone willing to stream the event has to use tournament banner in between games and 'hosted by DracKeNTV' as a part of their stream title.

Always excited for some arena action! I find the steal idea very interesting as well, loking forward to see how its played out.

Easy money for DauT.

 

Clown qualifier finished with a surprisingly dominant performance of Jonslow, beating Darknoob 4:0 in the Finals and securing himself a spot in the Main Event. Recorded games are posted on my discord channel. The Brackets for the Main Event are now done aswell, QuarterFinals will happen Monday - Friday, Saturday 13th Semifinals, Sunday 14th Finals.

If Miguel isn't invited, how do we really know who the best player is on the only relevant map?

 

Lords of the Arena finished. I would like to thank the players for awesome games providing peak level of Arena gameplay. Also with the professionalism of all participating players the tournament run very smooth and we didn't have to solve single minor issue. Thank you to all the casters, cocasters and viewers for making the tournament bigger than I've expected. Special thank to my clown buddies for feedback when I've proposed them the tournament idea, special thank to CtrlArtDel for helping (not only) with the tournament graphics, special thank to Im_Teutonic who came up with the tournament name and the biggest thank to Arzach and my twitch community for the amazing support allowing me to host such events .
