we know seedings turned out to not match team abilities/potential, but it's about time to get over it.
There's (read in Memb's voice) "only" been 37 pages of questions and answers so far and we'll gladly answer your remaining questions. If your question was already answered though, you preferred to read another answer instead and started to spam on every topic that mentions "war is coming" or "tyrant", then I wouldn't waste my breath again tbh.Since there have been numerous and unanswered questions over transparency in War is Coming
I can list examples from the RTSL, WCL and even the Fifa world cup showing how much a rigid seeding can convert a tournament into a travesty.Listing the exact criteria in the rules and settings will never happen in AoC, as ratings / past achievements and many other factors can be misleading, would put the organisers into a straitjacket and lead to ridiculous seeding/brackets.[..]
i really hope no one who puts effort into these events takes any of you seriously. these comments are so mind numbingly ******ed.

If this is (again) about your seeding inquiry, then let me paste this once more:

Thanks for chiming in. Always good to get the autist perspective.
Having lived with someone with autism for 8 years i'm pretty sure i would take their advice way before i would take any from you Andrew . I have never ever seen anyone so obsessed has what you are with this decision and your snarly childish personal attacks on people are just immature .i really hope no one who puts effort into these events takes any of you seriously. these comments are so mind numbingly ******ed.

Nothing was changed as a result of that thread. People were complaining from the very beginning that SY and Legends were in the same group (which means SY seeded as #4).

Good then, SY was beaten by Legends, move on guys, and hope for another great tournament to come.

I don't think you understand any of the arguments presented in this thread

Don't really care how much heat I take for this, because it needs to be said if improvements are to be made - but I think the tournament failed on multiple levels.
The pause, in particular, was completely unnecessary and really halted any momentum the tournament had garnered to that point. It seemed like a petty, spiteful move by kkab because he and the sponsor took a bit of criticism on the board. Just weak. And you saw how it impacted the ability of teams to schedule in the RR, as many people had made plans according to the initial tournament schedule.
The seeding disaster was really inexcusable, and I think a lot of it could've been quelled had Taff just came out and said, "yeah, my bad. I screwed up." That didn't really happen, though, and it snowballed because people like myself, Edie, and many others saw what seemed pretty clear to be an orchestrated attempt to get Tyrant B into the finals. I don't care what you think about Tyrant B or SY, anyone who thinks KGB deserved a 3 seed or at any point in their lives has been the 3rd best team in AoC is kidding themselves. Just feels a little dirty looking at the $ amounts and seeing how much more Tyrant B made than SY when in reality SY would've wiped the floor with them. In fact- looking at the $ amounts and how lopsided the prizes are for 1st and 2nd compared to the other top places.. it seems clear this was designed as a Tyrant showcase event from the start. I'd be interested to see how the SY sponsor decides to counter that going forward, because if I was him I'd be more than a little pissed at how all this went down.
Lastly- this tournament really shined a light on just how backward-thinking many in this community are to me. Every time I made a post supporting SY and criticizing the seeding process I was personally attacked, accused of making multiple accounts, had my posts deleted by mods and had my posts siphoned off to "off-topic discussion" threads in a desperate attempt to cover up all the controversy... was just a really eye-opening experience for me and a number of others I've spoken to as well. I'd hope that in such a small, dwindling community, people would value everyone's opinion a little bit more and realize that if you really want to keep this game alive you can't keep disillusioning so many true fans of the game. I LOVED TMW, I loved CoT, too.. rarely if ever heard a complaint for me during either of those tournaments, so I'm not one to complain if I don't see an issue at hand... but this tournament to me was just one debacle after another, and I have no problem saying that regardless of what is said about me hereafter. Best of luck in the future, hope you guys can improve for the better and keep the community intact for the foreseeable future.
I feel slightly more compelled to ban those who request the banning of others simply because of their dissenting viewpoints :twisted:Can someone please remind me why this troll isn't banned?
I might reply to some of these statements but we know from the past that andrew will always find something "wrong" with everything to make himself feel special. _Taff and whoever else worked on seeding did not make a mistake, please don't listen to this spam. Even if there was a mistake every team had the chance to win so no harm done.
Andrew, you remind me of a dog, jumping in someone's face and then wondering why they dislike you.
No one should be banned for their opinion and I appologize if that's what my post communicated. I'm just tired of andrew spamming his opinion over and over again. There has been nothing new to add to the discussion recently except the fact that SY lost to the legion clan which was not mentioned in his post.and you are asking to ban him because he have a opinion different than yours? it's not the right way to go.
