These rules are written with the aims and goals of the league in mind, we want this league to appear as professional and well organised a possible so please read this post carefully to ensure that you understand the rules completely.
[td=title_bg_b,1,1][/td]
#01. Every participant must respect their opponent. Bad behaviour (determined by staff) will be warned or can result to immediate disqualification of a player and exclusion from any future leagues. Any insult, racism or flaming will not be tolerated. Laming and mind games in game are allowed, it is a part of the game.
#02. Players must schedule their games a week before the week slot in which the games should take place. The games can be scheduled any time between 00:00 Mon and 23:59 Sun (GMT) and must be scheduled to take place the following week between 00:00 Mon and 23:59 Sun. Players are expected to make an effort to find a time that suits both players best, any scheduling delays may result in deduction of points and in repeat cases disqualification from the league.
- 2.1 In the event that it is not possible to schedule your games for a certain week then you must inform the head admin (ZeroEmpires) as soon as possible. You will then be given another time period in which you may schedule your games.
- 2.2 Before signing up to the league please consider that the league will require you to play 2 games per week for 8 weeks in a row, if you know that this will be an issue for you before signing up and choose to sign up anyway you may be disqualified from future leagues.
#03. Recorded games should be posted to the "Players Recorded Game" section of the forum immediately after the games are played, if for any reason this is a problem then please ensure that the recorded games are posted by Sunday 23:59 of the week in which the games are played. Both players POVs must also be posted (as of Round2)!
-3.1 Before posting the recorded games to the forum please ensure that they are correctly renamed to the following format:
GML Round [Round Number] [Player 1] vs [Player 2] G [Game Number]
Example:
GML Round 5 TheViper vs Chris G2
-3.2 The responsibility of uploading the recorded games should be decided between the two players and the POV of the winner should be posted for both games. The losers POV is not necessary. If the player responsible for uploading the recorded games is late then they will be warned, upon a repeated offence they will be disqualified from the league.
-3.3 All games should be played on Voobly and they must be played as unrated as the recorded games will be released at set times to the public. It is expected that the recorded games are not leaked to the public before the date in which they will be made public; this is to ensure the integrity and organisation of the tournament.
#04. All games must be played with the nickname/username that the player is invited to the tournament with. No alternative accounts are to be used during any tournament games; nor are any games to be joined by a spectator.
#05. In the case of a disconnection before 10 minutes in-game time players must restart the game with the same settings. If a player suspects a drop has been caused purposely and can find evidence to support their claim within the recorded game then they may dispute the drop on the forum and a decision will be made by the admins. The game must still be played anyway.
If a disconnection happens after 10 minutes then the players must restore their game.
#06. Once two players have arranged and confirmed a time to play, the maximum waiting time is 20 minutes. More than that, the player that came and is waiting must take a screenshot showing http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx (so the current time is clearly visible) and the clearly titled game room. They must then post the screenshot in the Scheduling > Problem Reporting Forums, with a link to the post in the Scheduling forums where the game time was arranged and confirmed.
#07. Every participating must speak fluent English or have a translator available that is able to provide necessary translations. If scheduling is delayed due to miscommunication and it is clear that this is due to the lack of a translator then the player requiring a translator will be disqualified.
#08. If a game is not recorded, it must be replayed (this doesn't apply to dropped games, where the recorded game isn't available after the game restore).
#09. A player is allowed to restart once per map, giving them a maximum of 2 re-starts per set; so you have 2 restarts available but can't use two in one game, only one per map. This is due to having only 2 games per set. If a map is obviously bugged then it is an automatic restart and will not use up either players restarts. A buggy map meaning a map where a sheep or villager is trapped.
#10. In case of LN or Nomad players are not allowed to build any military unit, building or partake in any villager wars before the Town Center is up. This excludes the dock on the Nomad map.
#11. Match fixing is a serious breach of the rules. If any players are discovered to be participating in match fixing in order to benefit a certain player more then they will both be immediately disqualified and banned from future leagues. Players who sign up to the league should demonstrate good honour and discipline, match fixing is totally against the principles of this tournament.
#12. In the case of a tie for any podium position at the end of round 7 there will be a BO5 between the two players who are tied. If there is a tie for any positions that aren't podium then there will be a BO3 to decide the winner. In the case that there are more than two players tied for a position then there will be a round robin between those players to decide the order.
#13. New rules can be added and current rules can be changed, but Admins MUST inform the teams about such changes in the league Rules & Settings forum. All the latest additions in Rules / Settings will be in red.
#14. By signing-up for the league, you automatically agree with all the League Rules, Settings, Prizes and Conditions.
