"When the night has come and the land is dark and the moon is the only light we'll see" Stand by Me, by Ben E King. Arguably more known than "Heaven is a Place on Earth", which is a really funny song 11Some reflections
this song Memb sings about knights “when the knight has come the villagers are gone”, is that a version of “heaven is a place on earth” by Belinda Carlisle?
— You think competitive AoE2 comes to a closure after KOTD 4, I say "my arse! Competitive AoE2 will live for years on" ;If Nicov can't make a suprise, we will end up splitted AM/GL brackets. It will be interesting, Viper vs. Liereyy seems quite possible already. Memb might broke his record and good closure for AOE2, with two most talented players ever. I wish MBL did better, but yeah we will take what we have.
Jordan and Yo have had the best performances so far, I think. 3-1 against Hera is really good, and Viper basically gave game 2 to MbL and also nearly lost the ro32. I'm hoping for an epic Viper/Jordan semi, and I think Jordan will have a much better shot this time than their semi in RBW5. But I still think Hera is the best RM player overall, so I wouldn't be surprised if he crushes the playoffs despite a shaky performance in the group stage.Well, we can't get Viper vs. Jordan in the final with these brackets, unfortunately. We could get Viper Liereyy, but honestly I'm thinking it's Viper vs. Yo going by the group stage performances.
Agree about Tatoh, in my opinion he played a lot better than Jordan but people are sleeping on him only because he lost his set.Have to agree, by the performances I've seen so far, I'd say Yo outclasses everyone else so far, behind him I'd see Jordan, Liereyy and, despite his loss against Liereyy, Tatoh. That game 5 could have gone either way.
Viper I honestly haven't seen very strong so far. I haven't seen the Match vs MbL yet, but everything considered, I doubt MbL played his best at such a late hour.
If I had to guess right now, I'd actually say Yo vs. Jordan is the most likely final.
Yeah, for Liereyy standards he played VERY bad but Tatoh also performed pretty well so there were 2 factors combined :DI used to love the Jordan-Viper matchups from 2013-2016. Jordan always brought his best against Viper and seemed to know how to always put him under pressure. Since his recent comeback, Jordan's style is a lot more passive and not the "counter" to Viper's that it once was, so if we do end up with that semifinal I think Viper wins comfortably.
I thought Lierey was really off against Tatoh. Was surprised to hear him say he was satisfied with his performance in the post-match interviews I thought he made some big mistakes that were uncharacteristic for him. He’ll have to play much better to advance through his bracket and make his fourth consecutive final.
unfortunately, it was late in the night; i went to bed expecting a full stomp from viper, knowing there is a big chance mbl just wants to get it over with; poor choice of schedule; maybe consider players that live in Europe have .,,you know, european timesA bit disappointing last series of the day, I was expecting more from MBL :/
