The same thing would happen if the games are recorded though, players would still go for risky "laming" strategies.I'm with the organizers in that LIVE games don't need restarts. It's a better viewing experience, forces players to adapt, and it prevents them going for all-out risky "laming" strategies and then calling a RE when they fail.
Afaik they would have to save and quit the game, then show it to the admin. If the admin says it's an admin re, they would have to start another game, if the admin doesn't think it's an admin re, then they restore the game. For recorded games, however, I'm all for giving one restart to the players simply because it's too onerous to have an admin watching every game and being able to provide third-party input to the players about what constitutes a "bug" or not. It puts too much pressure on the players. Imagine if TheMax had called an admin re but then for some reason was overruled, then the game would have automatically become a loss. Or if he told his opponent he thinks he has an admin re because of the wood situation, pauses the game, his opponent does not agree with him... if they find an admin to spec... maybe the admin doesn't agree with him... and now his opponent knows his wood situation and can take that into account for strategy, etc., etc.
