Where are you getting this? I've never seen T90 mention it and I have not seen a 1 year contract mentioned anywhere else

It is just an assumption, most contracts are for one year initially and then they get renewed or cancelled, both viper and t90 are at 10-20% of the viewers they were getting approximately on twitch, which isn't exactly a success.

If i can remember properly when mixer closed they said they would start collaborating with FB gaming(buying twitch names) so yeah maybe the contracts are similar.

As for t90 i saw hiw twit about being blessed by YT algorithm and increasing his average views, but with a HC5 this year those views would have been just way bigger which would have increased his growth on most platforms.

Aoe4 doesnt loose more players because the 2 tournaments of 100k. when this ¨golden league¨ finish, the game will drop more.

Well they also they know this by now. So they might just simply announce more 100K tournaments to keep it alive, until they stabilize.

Could be slightly lower or slightly higher if the GamePass mix has notably changed since Simonsan last pulled it, but should be in the ballpark.

I think that share of players using gamepass has to be recalculated, if I am not wrong that measure was when the three months gamepass costing $1 was on after the release, so if theres not new data, theres a big miscalculation there.

This is a very good point. I for one had game pass only for the $1 month they gave me. Then I quit playing for quite a few months. Gamepass users are likely a lot lower now.

But I think in broad strokes, you can still think of the AoE4 player base being in the 7-9k range for average concurrent players pretty comfortably

- no hidden cup
- no nac
- content creatures leaving aoe2 like viper, nili
- inactiv ladder
- hera switching to lol because of inactiv ladder
- fb using the momentum to buy viper and t90

I think we agree here, AoE4 will have its own commmunity, it wasnt a successfull game, but it is not going to dissapear any time soon, the question is: Can AoE2 carry the franchise for ten more years until AoE5?

I think having a bigger Age community broadly bodes well for future DE's (Age of Mythology where you at???) and Microsoft support.

As long as they can keep selling 2-3 DLCs a year for $10 a pop, it will keep the lights on and the servers running

Well, says lots about the AoE2 community if this is all it takes “to destroy AoE2 very hard”. But then again, reading this forum makes you appreciate how little the people that complain about the destruction now actually care about the community
