First of all i just want to clarify that the following message is meant in an optimistic way, no toxicity intended. After getting mad on aoe4 and all the streamers/players dedicatting full time to it; or worrying about the future of aoe2, I finally came to the same conclussion i get from any other subject in life. After everybody's gone, there's always me. In this case us, the aoe2 community who doesn´t really cares about playing another game. What i mean by this is: If Hera (or any other streamer) decides to leave to aoe4 -wich we cant be sure yet- or make it his main source of content; or if Nili says he is not that interested in casting kotd4 or whoever says whatever about aoe4 making more sense for them... well so be it. After all the game has 22 years, and Hera has only been playing it for 8. My point is that, altough it would be a shame to loose some of the main characters in the community, they -as everyone- are replacable. Another Hera or Viper may come along in time. If truly what moves people to stick around is the love for the game it wont matter if Hera is playing or not, the game will still be there and so the compettitive scene. With other names, maybe. Lower level players, maybe. But in time it will recover from the losses. All we need is time and the will to keep up with the game.
