Make 100% sure you turn on Vsync if you want your real FPS. I can hit 164 with vsync on and only 50 with it off. took 10 games to realize the lag wasnt just servers haha

As far as I can remember the TC repair thing was a change only introduced after Forgotten Empires to encourage offensive gameplay in Castle Age. So it wasnt a legacy issue at all. I could be wrong about that, but I am fairly sure.

I guess he's referring to some small changes that were made by the userpatch devs, like making all food sources the same so u didnt lose food by switching from sheep to boar without dropping at the tc. But needing 1 stone to repair a TC was definitely around since TCs started costing 100 stone instead of just 275 wood... so perhaps 2.0 aok patch or AoC

This patch is unplayable for me.

dont get the comparison. userpatch runs on my laptop without any issues while DE crashes in the loading screen

Besides the lag (or stutter?) issue, I wasn't able to build a market although I had a mill. The game didn't register even that. Can some IT person please explain how it is possible to break totally unrelevant things with an update?

go into steam -> properties -> beta -> select january PUP and lag is gone and yes you can play with other ppl who have the new build
