I don't know for you, but it passed very quickly.
I always wanted to write a text about the experience I had to be present at an event on the Age of Empires 2 lan, but time has passed, many things have happened since last year and I couldn't.
I started writing even, but, as I said before, life outside AoE2 got me in a complicated way. At least I managed to follow major events and streams over the past year, but I updated much less than I would have liked to have updated Esports Earnings.
The text I started to write spoke of the feeling I had, that the plug fell when I arrived at the hotel in Leigh and saw Jordan (is back!) And Nili taking the way to the Escape studio. At that time, I really understood that I was in England to watch an AoE2 championship.
It also spoke of the feeling I had when meeting some of the people I only knew by nick or even by stream, like Memb, iVik, Moonfaller, nimanaoe (and he is not the kappa boy), robot, Zero, Nili, edie, T90, DemEyesRed, Ornlu, Feanor, Jineapple, SirLaurence, Lidakor, among many others.
In the text, I had also written about meeting new people. I got to know new Jesus and TheSniper, both with whom I talked a lot during my days in Leigh, Cysion, Badrang, Kamigawa, Turk and even Willis, with whom I shared the hotel room and met a few weeks before the trip.
Other than that, I had still written about the moments when I got to know the players and playing a boring fan asking for autographs 11. But everyone was very attentive. I even hitchhiked with Hera, Liereyy and Heart by taxi from the hotel to Escape. And the Brazilian here tried to play soccer with Mbl, T90 and some others, but soccer is not my sport. My sport is AoE2 11. And when it was over, that I came back from the studio to the hotel talking to the friendly Zuppi? It was really cool to hear a little bit about his life.
When the fateful game at Oasis came to an end, I commented with those who were beside me that these players, this community deserved much more. And I believe that 2020 has been incredible for this community. Those days were a celebration of AoE2 for me.
As for the text I commented on, I don't know where it is and how it stayed and if I finished it, but here I managed to remember a little.
Thank you so much for the trip, for the event, for the incredible days that will stay in my memory forever! #WeLoveThisGame
*Sorry! I didn't review the text and now I fixed some things.
