I've been following this game since the Eyes Wide Open tourney, and can't think there's ever been such a ludicrously long contest of any kind.
Personally I'd like my $0.00 back that I paid.
Game quality has definitely improved in the last 13 years, as have the maps, and of course now there's streaming and YouTube, and recorded games and all, but surely there's still got to be some focus on getting tournaments over and done with?
Jokes about $0 aside, how does the AoC community expect to expand and maintain relevance as a competitive eSport when despite the prize money on offer, the tourney proceeds at glacial speed?
I'd hate to have been a top player coming into the tournament in form, can't be fun trying to peak for 2+ months at a time.
