Say what you will but for the love of god, the word "dynasty" doesn't mean what you think it means. What you're looking for is perhaps "legacy"... which can't be over because his achievements already happened and are remarkable.
This is my takeaway. Why does he not trust himself to play meta?I am following Viper since his earliest streams and a huge fan of him. Not just for his brilliant gameplay but also for his sportsmanship, humour and personality, I consider him as one of the best things that could happen for our 20-year-old game. During voobly days he could just micro his way out of impossible situations or uneven civ match-ups with impeccable build orders and macro efficiency. I see that things are now equalized since DE.
Despite the fact that he is now a bit closer to the Lord age-wise, his retreating handsome hairline and the wrist issues he can still peak at crazy APMs during his streams even during an unimportant match when his experiments get out of hand and I believe he can easily match Larry Potter, Heragorn or Mr. 7o in a standard metaplay.
What I don't understand is why he is opting for out of box strategies at recent tournaments instead of just picking some meta civ and wall & boom. (And still getting defeated like this would have been better than Indian shore fish rush or Korean war wagons.)
If I insulted you, you would know. There are many ways to insult others. For instance by saying it wasn't an insult you're insulting everyone's intelligence. Unless you're joking.
But moving an insult into a question doesn't make any difference. I was really expecting you to be joking, not seriousIf I insulted you, you would know.
Don't worry bro, I'm working my way up the ladder. Currently at 1300. Will see you all in a few years.A competition reaches top viewers when there are two clear favourites, now this turned out to be 2015-2020 tennis version, Djokovic, Nadal and old dude Federer (Viper). Problem is Hera and Liereyy from same team so it won't cause too much controversy. For the sake of game, they need to be separated.
Starting from Messi-Ronaldo to Schumi-Hakkinen, duos or in other words polarization makes money. So we need a drama guys, somebody has to get in head of Hera and Liereyy, cause some drama and create a rivalry similar to Prost-Senna or Lemond-Hinault, Kobe-Shaq etc.
Yes but if someone put a gun to your head you'd back Liereyy now instead of Viper.Every time this get bumped, I’m left thinking the same thing.
the overall level is extremely high. And the top4 can beat each other on any given day.
I wasn't serious man. It's all good. Now watch Spain vs Croatia 11But moving an insult into a question doesn't make any difference. I was really expecting you to be joking, not serious
Only from an absurdly literal perspective you could argue it's just a question and not an insult. Therefore lacking all sense of reality.
Just give it a try, find anyone to ask if they're ****ing stupid and report back. Preferably if they're on a position of power over you, like your favourite streamer, your boss, teacher, police...
Regardless I'm getting Monty Pythons vibes here, I guess I'll just accept your right to have a baby even if you don't have a womb. It's your right as a man.
Huh? What S-Tier tournament did Viper win?Viper or Lierey won the last S-Tier tournaments (except for the DM ones)
Masters of Socotra. That's called über S tournamentHuh? What S-Tier tournament did Viper win?
Huh? What S-Tier tournament did Viper win?
Hahah they were matches on Arabia, these players have prepared for Arabia for over 10 years, more than any major tournament. You can't tout results of small events and then try to devalue a major event like RBW in the same sentence. At the end of the day I think there's a consensus that the major events in AoE right now are KOTD, RBW and Hidden Cup. That's what the top players invest their time and energy into winning and those are the events that the community should weigh the heaviest when determining who's the best.
I think even Viper would admit Lierey/Hera have outperformed him significantly in those key events over the past 1.5 years.
No more stupid than you are for saying this. Remember you are the official tournaments producer now, not just a community member. Keep your interactions more professional.are you ****ing stupid?
Don't forget the "he is better at DM" argument xDHe hasn't won a major tournament in 1.5 years yet there's really people who will still try to argue he's "way better" or has a "way higher peak" than anyone else.
I'm sorry but the only way you could think that is it your only exposure to Aoe is Viper's stream and you just have a complete fanboy mentality. It's not reasonable or even a defensible position.
Yeah as @Jarvin said in another thread it really is just that he doesn't pull out the Viper™ high level as much as before, and when that high level is so high the dropoff from it still ends up quite high. I always think back to the two games from HC4 against Hera that everyone seemed to agree were games no one else could have produced.Yeah that wrist injury must be worse than we thought. Either way he's still performing at an insanely high level. He's still easily top 3/4
Well smart people outthinking themselves is a definitely a thing. Just look at the UCL final 11.I'd say RBW4 was a strategic loss more than anything, what is surprising considering how smart Viper is.
If you want to create these "who is the best rankings" it's definetely a question of perspective. Some perspectives don’t make a lot of sense for the most people but many perspectives make a lot of sense for many people. And these perspectives come to different conclusions on the question who the best aoe player is at the moment.
Reading through the comments it seems to me for many people it makes sense to argue like this:
- Lierey and Hera won the last two S-Tier tournaments (except for the DM ones) and this is why they are the best and second best player at the moment.
