A strategy that works against a Top 10, maybe doesn't work against a Top 3.Tatoh is probably better at planning strategies than either Liereyy or Hera.

Surely the Larsenids would just be the sons of the sons of Lars? The PkZsenids wouldn't work because Viper and PkZ are of adjacent generations, but on the fairly safe assumption that granddaddy Lars is a relatively distant ancestor, they are indeed the Larsenids.Larsenid makes no sense, since Larsen means "son of Lars" and the -ides suffix in dynasties comes from the Greek term for "sons of" (like Zeus=Kronides=Son of Kronos). So it would have to be either the PkZids or the Larsids, if you accept that Viper's family has a far-fetched ancestor named Lars (which would then be true for tons of people in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Northern Germany)
We learned that a fan of Federer does not know the proper use of the term "dynasty".You learn new things everyday!!!
The timeline doesn’t really work out for your claim about training partners. For several years, TheViper had been dominant without a top 5 teammate. Then, TaToH reached top 5 (equivalent to Hera at the time) about a year or two ago, and... well, it certainly didn’t stop the losses. What I think could be happening are the training partners. Liereyy and Hera train with each other and they are top 3. TheViper trains with Top 10 partners, and that could hurt his planned strategies.
With all respect, but that is not how it works. Like European dynasties usually have a dynastical name (such as "House Tudor, House Windsor, House Bourbon-Parma") which does not directly relate to the founder of the dynasty. So you could speak of "House Larsen", if you wanted to.Surely the Larsenids would just be the sons of the sons of Lars? Based on @AsinusDocet citing the Merovingians and Carolingians as similar examples it seems like a custom from the classical era that slowly faded away over the course of the Middle Ages. Naturally this means the patronymic derived name would be appropriate for an AoE1 dynasty whereas the standard family name would be appropriate for an AoE2 dynasty. With all respect, but that is not how it works. The other case is for instance the post-Alexander the Great-dynasty of the Seleucids. Their founder was General Seleukos, and his sons and so on were the Seleucids. Same with the Ayyubids, who were named after Saladin's dad Ayyub (and many more examples). So, you take the dynasty's founder, which should be PkZ (unless the aforementioned "granddaddy Lars" dominated in AoE before him, but that would have had to be the medieval board game version), in this case, you could speak of the Larsids or the Larsens. So I guess calling it the Larsen Dynasty could be an option, or the PkZids (PkZsenids is again, a wrong use of the patronymical suffix -ids).
Why do I write all this? I do not know, but I enjoyed it way more than I should have.
Well, not really, given that dynastical names such as the Timurids, Ayyubids, Safavids etc span well into and beyond the AoE2 time frame. Your statement is more true if an eurocentric view is adopted, where Carolingians indeed seems to be one of the last dynasties named after its founder, and given the dynasties mentioned are more Near Eastern/Central Asian, where patronymic family names are customary to this day (e.g., the Saud dynasty in Arabia, named after their founder)Based on @AsinusDocet citing the Merovingians and Carolingians as similar examples it seems like a custom from the classical era that slowly faded away over the course of the Middle Ages. We will very soon need a discussion on whether Viper is still top15 or not.this thread is obsolete now and may be closed. there is overwhelming agreement that the dynasty is long gone, and that viper is now just one of 5. I am not a viper fanboy, but I think it's silly that whenever he loses in a tourney (which is now the standard, not an exception anymore), someone makes a post here. Methinks that the viper should do some new challenge on his stream, and that would be to win a proper tournament again.

Must be tough. 3 of the top 15 spots are occupied by just MbL.We will very soon need a discussion on whether Viper is still top15 or not.
Viper is top 3 with lierrey and hera imo. Yo, daut, tatoh, and jordan are somewhat debatably there alongside them though. Yes, viper is certainly not "100% the best" now and his dynasty is over.this thread is obsolete now and may be closed. there is overwhelming agreement that the dynasty is long gone, and that viper is now just one of 5. Therefore we went from a dynasty to a triumvirate.Hera, viper, lierrey.

Yeah you are right. I would say it is valid to use a eurocentric view because history itself is eurocentric by virtue of Europeans being European but that is being obnoxious and with the second sentence I was really just trying to make a joke about AoE1 vs. AoE2 anyways.Well, not really, given that dynastical names such as the Timurids, Ayyubids, Safavids etc span well into and beyond the AoE2 time frame. I think we would need a Bo7 Portuguese mirror Islands between Viper and Hera/Liereyy tag team to determine that definitively.Just look how Tempo is so sharp and dominant compared to GL, viper is definitely a lesser player than lieryy or hera these days.
I was wondering how long it would be before someone played the "disrespectful" card.
Now we just need the toxic card, I'm sure that's coming.
As someone pointed out it should be looked at as a positive that people care enough about this 20 year old game to watch and offer up their opinion on players/games. Don't take it personally and don't get upset if someone's opinion doesn't align with yours. As long as the criticism doesn't extend beyond the gameplay I really don't see the issue.
account created one hour ago and the first post is about MbL being toxic in a thread where it absolutely doesn't belong...found this post randomly. MBL banned a guy form his chat because he wanted something other than arabia. when Pro gamers dont have respect and act toxic, there is no hope for others.
