I don't know which one I laughed more, the post itself or the fact that robo put angry face.

I reserve my dynasty opinion until Resurgence, since I never considered Viper has a dynasty in AOE4.

Viper just chasing the $$$ trying to maximize his career earnings. He's dedicated his life to the game so as long as he doesn't do anything really immoral it's hard to blame him.

Really impressive sets from viper. Especially the one vs beasty and marinelord in the loser's bracket finals and finals. What was interesting to me was it reminded me of viper gameplay in aoe2 tournaments in peak viper dominance phase. minimal overextension, committing hard if it means gaining economic lead. Collect relics early, great game knowledge and civ matchup knowledge. morphing an economic lead into win condition. To be a viper fan watching those sets after N4C performance and losing to beasty a week back to wonder victory is super satisfying.
A true champ to comeback in the way he did. The rivalry of beasty, marinelord and viper for top will continue for a long time. With each of them having very different playstyles, it will be a gift that keeps on giving for aoe4 competitive scene,

Funny if aoe2 doesn't have tournaments it's Nili's fault by not giving enough money but if aoe4 has no tournaments it's because pesti or Nili don't have money themselves to host.

Your comment does not make sense. You have to put in money from your own pocket too. Microsoft dôes not just simply pay for every tournament expense.

Furthermore if you want to organize a big Aoe2 tournament but you know your changes of pricepool funding by Microsoft is small, your are less incentivized to host one.

Dude, Hera completely gave up on the game, he's nowhere near as committed to aoe4 as Viper.
When he was fully committed, he was a top 5 player and won an S tier tournament.

Lierrey is in military and barely grinds

Well even if I don't understand wth hera doing lately and wouldn't be too surprised if he doesn't himself, but he did prove he can compete in top level when he won S tournament. Yes, maybe some players were not in best shape, but that thing kind of happens in any tournament and is up on others, not him.

I would most likely agree to the opinion Viper is more talented and able to adapt faster to the changes which helped him to be on the top at start and helepd him to get to the top level again now after some grinding. But hera definetily showed that with big determination he can compete at the top level. That might be one of things why he got burned out by aoe4 so fast, but it doesn't take it away that he managed to do great at aoe4 pro scene in the end.

Seems like you are speaking for the contents of other people's wallets but OK.

I think it is unlikely that Nili hosts another $100k tourney anytime soon given the performance, or lack thereof, of NC4 (in his own words, just check his vods before coming after me).

But I haven't seen anything indicating that EGCTV is planning on dropping out of the AoE4 streaming and tournament hosting space

It makes sense since aoe2 guys always had money if they wanted to host C-tier to S-tier tournament but chose to not to. There is no proof that Microsoft is not willing to fund tournaments from biggest streamers(even Jordan gets $10k despite no previous history). However AoEzoners blamed Nili for no tournaments (it's also debatable if there is such situation as no tournaments). Tournament being hosted is not up to Microsoft but always up to hosts regardless if organizer seeks for MS money or not.

No one knows about aoe4 tournament hosts' wallets but it makes no sense to say Pesti has no money to host new tournaments since if that would be true he would have never hosted Golden League in first place. EGCTV has no regular non-tournament streaming so there needs to be new thing or there is no stream at all, meaning he would need to drastically change his channel's approach and that would probably happened before hosting big tournaments as GL .
