Impressive to win such an event with mediocre 7/10 strategy skills but he somehow made it happen.

For real though i think Viper played really strong for most of the tournament, felt like he really adjusted to the game mode very well this time and seemed prepared in every game.

Was a great final that could've gone either way and all in all a nice storyline with the former King taking it all at the end (for now?) of the Wololo series.

The prizepool of this tournament is $100k, but given the HOLY **** WTF levels of produciton value this clearly must have costed at least a few times as much in total if you factor in everything

Don't forget the medical bill for the guy who's been standing behind the draft table this whole time just to hand the trophy at the end. Must be some serious water retention.

a common guess is that popularity = unique viewers *10 + total tips for streamer * n + large streamer bonus

I think there were less than 2k live viewers on Chinese platforms for most part (also considering no Chinese players participated), most of them are legacy viewers

but peak viewer count may be a bit different because the live was once recommended on the front page of douyu for several minutes (not sure if it match the twitch recommendation time though)

It was never gone like i said several posts ago, we had to wait to the end of the year to see overall who won more tournaments at the end of the year and its not surprise theviper did it again.

He won master of socotra early this year and there he got the best game of the year, so far with that performance it was clear he was still being theviper, even during hc4 he was dominant until the last games, dunno why some guys were claiming he was no longer the best ._. i am wondering why would they say now after seeing hera, lierey and mr yo not even making it to the finals, clearly the results of one or two tournaments can't be used to claim anything, specially about the goat.

It really is good to see Viper's success handling the wrist injury. I don't think it would have been wise to doubt it too much because he is smart and has typically shown a lot of discipline but still an outcome to be happy about. Never want to see competition results strongly influenced by participant health.
