Personally I can't find a reason to watch any AOE4 tournament, both competitively or atmospher wise.

Game related: Why would I watch a tournament if there is literally no micro potential except wololo conversion, no dancing archers of Liereyy, no Daut lure failures or no quick walls of Hera and Viper.

Interesting. Just wonder how people enjoyed watching AoE2 15 years ago where nowbody even heard about dodging balistics, quickwalls etc. In those days "good micro" meant standing on hills and focusing appropriate units. According to what you wrote it sounds boring as hell, doesn't it?

Or maybe game needs more time for people to learn how to micro. For exapmple dodging mangonel shots in AoE4 was not invented immediately after its premiere. Now every pro-player can do it. Who knows how they will play this game in 2 years. AoE2 is played for 20 years so its obvious that people know every mechanic and can do things imposible 15 years ago.

Btw, spliting units to avoid splash damage requires more skill when you don't have auto split (wing fomation) button.

Well I am not gonna explain you how it was impossible to micro back in the days with 640x480 resolution, shitty internet, you already know. Micro is a high speed internet thing.

Yea, you are right. Internet was bad those days. But still - there is micro in AoE4, just not as spectacular as in AoE2.

And spliting units against splash damage is much harder without autosplit (wing-formation) button.

Maybe you should watch the YT video he posted, he was clear on his position on AOE 4 and that if he was to plan, practice and play with his team mates he'd have to go to AOE 2.

Nili is not in GL because of his gameplay anyway. The skill gap between Nili and the rest of the GL team is huge.

He has been playing AoE2 for months now, basically since N4C ended.
