Installing UP 1.5 and WololoKingdoms on Voobly

Settings - Install - Recorded Games - Brackets​

1. Install UP 1.5 by clicking download here: http://www.voobly.com/gamemods/mod/631/v15-Beta-R3
2. Download "WololoKingdoms.zip" from here: https://github.com/Jineapple/WololoKingdoms/releases
3. Unzip/extract the zip file and run "WololoKingdoms.exe" (make sure steam is running when you run this)
4. Host a lobby on Voobly, go to settings, and set the patch to the UP 1.5 beta and the data mod to WololoKingdoms

To watch recorded games, you need to place the recs in the specific savegame folder for the data mod you are using (not the normal savegame folder).

Please let us know if you run into any errors with the installer. It's still a beta release, so there may still be some bugs that we need to work out.

It's still in beta and not possible to play rated (working on that atm), plus the tournaments should also help with the exposure, so this situation will definitely improve. Whether it's going to be widely played remains to be seen.

I tried it the other day. But when I hosted a game in singleplayer to try it out. I couldnt see any skins of new units in tech tree or even in game when you press some building and wanna create the new unit. There were just red crosses instead. But when I created the unit in DM it actually worked. Any ideas whats wrong?

I think that is the same for all at the moment. At least for me it is.

I can play but can't watch recorded games. I tried to watch DauT's games last night and it was impossible

Thanks! The issue is the blue berries mod, as it modifies the icons, which overwrites the changes to icons from WK.

It can be updated pretty easily, I will look into it.

It only happens with the new civs. And it's not a restored game. Is there some fix for that?

If you watch recorded games, you need to place them in the specific WololoKingdoms savegame folder, not the normal savegame folder. From inside of your aoe2 folder, the path should be:

Same for new resources, the rec analyzer for that has to be updated. I'm sure it will happen eventually, but it's probably lower on the priority list right now

I have an issue trying to spectate in room games with WK mod. Every time I enter the room it says that I don't have 2.5 installed but I already have and I checked it in single player mode. the only thing is that I don't have rise of rajas expansion. Is it this the cause? I can't spectate games with WK because i just only have AK and FE?

Yes, unfortunately you won't be able to spectate games that use Rajas if you don't have Rajas installed. I believe that the current installer installs several data mods that you can view in the settings menu. There is one for WololoKingdoms FE and another for WololoKingdoms AK, and these are if you have only FE or only FE and AK installed, respectively. You will be able to spectate games with these DLCs, but unfortunately not games that have all the DLC including Rajas.

Wish we had a better solution than this, but we can't give the Rajas data files to people who don't already own that DLC on Steam.

This means the host hasn't updated to the new version (2.5.75jj9C) yet, which he can also tell by the fact he won't be able to set it rated. Ask the host to rerun the installer with Steam updated to Patch 5.5.

That isn't recommended lol. The reason the version code is different is because the data files are different. Playing with different data files can lead to an Out of Sync, e.g. if someone has magyars and one one player's version he pays less for his scouts than on the other.
