In Game Rating Overlay

Hi everyone, I have made this application for myself, then I have shared it to a friend, then to another, and another, and seems like they enjoy it so I decided to improve it a little bit and share it with the community.

It is an in game rating overlay which shows on top of the screen the RM 1v1 ELO and RM TG ELO for all players in a multiplayer game.

It is not a fully stable application yet so it may (will for sure haha) crash some times.

All suggestions or problems you find are welcome. Anyone who wants to contribute is welcome as well, it is an open source project.

Does it fit in if you have your minimap in the bottom right corner instead of the bottom middle? And if you have giant minimap mod?

Instead of showing the rating in a separate window, could you include it after the player name directly in the score? it would save some space

Hi, what exactly do you mean?
The score is part of the game, I cannot change the game, this is a separated program. I'm not even sure if it is possible to add this into a mod, I don't even know how to do mods haha I should take a look.

What I had in mind was indeed to create a mod that would incorporate the Elo rating after the player's name directly in the score. That's indeed something quite different than showing the Elo from an additional overlay, and I'm not sure if it is possible!

It isn't. Mods cannot inject scripts into the game. At least, not the usual mods (data mods or visual mods) that you'd find on the workshop.

But you can read data from a file right? In that case we can make the program write the data into a file and read it from the mod. Does anyone know some Info/Tutorial explaining how to do mods?

This could be an idea, but afaik all the files get loaded before the matches start, so changing a file on the fly should have no impact whatsoever. You could try downloading a random visual mod and testing whether changing one of the files during a match has any impact. You can find those files by opening the directory of the mod in the in-game workshop.

Mmmm I think you're right. Maby it is not an option.
