In-depth look at the blocking/pathing of units

Noob question: What does it mean exactly by blocking? & not being able to block?

Watch the vid in the second link of the original post. I've no idea why units pass through each other in some cases, e.g. patrol and when you run calvary through archers.

Can the order of players for objects generate be randomized, so players can't know from the start whos players scout will block who, so they can't consider that for their initial decision when to go for lame?

Regarding the pathing approach, imo it would be more correct / common sense, if in case of a crossing path, the unit that is closer to the intersection will move on and the other reroute incase of a bump, instead of unit with ID 1 move on and unit with ID >1 reroute regardless if it almost passed. But maybe determining the intersection-distance would mean considerable extra load for the cpu.
Well I guess there are more clever people than me, that thought about such problems, so I don't know why I even bother with this

Adding onto this topic, can anyone explain why some times melee units can attack across a tile of wall?!
