How does tournament admins deal with crashes?

Hi guys, lately my game is crashing and i wanted to ask tourney admins or players that know, how do they deal with crashes in big tournaments? especially on 1 vs 1.

Most of the time the restore is ruined if you dont save on time or you lose 2-3 mins in game-

Win to the opponent if restore impossible. Restore if possible first though. Restart if both players agree. Unfortunate but happened to me

Exactly. It might be a little difficult to determine in tg, but usually you're able to determine if one player/team was winning or not (like, considerable advantage)

In a game as unstable and broken as Definitive Edition, there has never been a worse time in the history of Age of Empires 2 to be an admin. With restores barely working, crashes, de-synchronization, lag spikes, it's hard to put the blame on a player when a games malfunctions. While it sucks for both parties, in most situations, you must simply believe the legitimacy of the issue, and in most cases, replay the game. There are situations where you may be able to declare a game won/lost, but it's fairly rare.

How clear is a clear advantage?

It also depends on how fast you need the response. Because statistics and points can be clear, but if one team has 20 crossbows and the other team 12 knights, you have to look at the units too. Then also where they are. The k/d could be 1/12, but a group of knights had just broken into a player's economy, where no defending military was around.

Indeed it is easier in 1v1, but luckily I only twice had the situation in 2v2 or 3v3.
In most cases the players actually agreed to declare the leading team or player as winner without asking the admins.

So usually I am also for replay if the players can't agree, because it is also about a momentum. Players might have different opinions about who has an advantage. One says the other player was dead, but the other one disagrees, because they simply can't know in-game.

Lets add the players re, the team islands, the Bo7 2v2...

It was one of the most problematic, slow and clunky series i casted on my entire life.
