Do you just use the ranked queue 1v1? Especially your first few games you should get a game every few minutes. The waiting time shouldn't be much more than 2 minutes unless you get a higher elo (though at these hours it may take slightly longer).I switched to Steams' DE edition but It is been hard to find rated/ranked games there

Don't use quick play or try to search for lobbies, for the best online experience you should stick to the 1v1 matchmaking queue.
ELO is like your online rating, basically shows how skilled you are at the game. You start at 1000, and gain points when you win games, drop points when you lose a game. If you're not too skilled at the game the first 10 or so games can be brutal losses, but once you are at the correct rating corresponding to your skill the games should be relatively balanced!thanks for the tip!
what's "ELO"?
Oh you have no idea...Neat place here!
Except it is called Elo, not ELO. It is named after its creator Arpad Elo. It is no abbreviation, so it isnt capital letters only.ELO is like your online rating, basically shows how skilled you are at the game. Aoezone is for mostly age of empires 2 content, though you will find some stuff about age3 and 1 every now and then, but really, it's age of empires 2.Makes sense. So basically, AoEZone is a community of players from anywhere?
Neat place here!
I do know that, but I just couldn't care less. I still say it as E-L-O because it's just ingrained in my head that way :DExcept it is called Elo, not ELO. It is named after its creator Arpad Elo. It is no abbreviation, so it isnt capital letters only.
Many people made the mistake to writer Elo as ELO.
lol I like it here
DE also doesnt have mods. So people just randomly ragequit, dodge ladder games, troll and nobody cares. 1v1 or games with people that you know are all thats enjoyable there. I prefer voobly for teamgames still even if there arent as many players anymore.Hmm I see.
Voobly became the wild west. there are no moderators there. I left voobly for good.
Where else do you guys play it online?
That actually is how many players are actually playing the game, but it includes singleplayer players, players playing against AI with friends etc. They fooled me right with the "20k+ players online now" in the community hub. Turns out there are not that many players actually playing the game.
There is a Discord server for people who play BF, it's called "Rage of Empires", I forgot exactly where I've seen the invitation link being distributed, I think either a thread here in aoezone about a BF tournament or about a BF showmatch, lol I like it here
I'm on AoC since late 1990's on MS Gaming zone. BF 4vs4 is my game. I just wish there were a centralized place for all the players. Some are on voobly, others on the retail version, others on steam version. Fragmented community. Voobly had it years ago. Now it is the wild west there, that's why i got the steam version.
