Can anyone watch this game? It`s supposed to be AoK 2.0 (first, unpatched version), but I can`t make it work. I tried many 2.0 executables, but they all produce an error message, being unable to replay the game...
^^ I think that`s the one. They explained on MFO how to get it working, but I can`t try it with their "emipres2.exe" file because I don`t have the original CD, while with all the no-cd "emipres2.exe" 2.0 versions the game won`t replay (at least with all I tried so far).
It would be good if someone with original game CD (AoK) could try and see if it works for him, that`s the only thing I didn`t (couldn`t) try.
^^ Ah, thanks for reporting, at least we know it works with original CD
I have an .iso version, and it doesn`t work with original 1.0 game .exe file (which is, in fact, expected behavior). I doubt any .iso can work with original (non-cracked) .exe... but if someone finds one (.iso), please message me
That's an AOK 2.0 Original rec so you won't be able to run it with aoc 1.0 :P
If you have a .iso of aok that's quite simple. Mount it with daemon tools, install game then install this http://relix.free.fr/divers/AOK-XchangerSetup.exe which makes you able to swtich between 2.0 CD, 2.0 No CD, 2.0a CD and 2.0a No CD. Choose 2.0 Originale (= 2.0 CD) and enjoy the first smush of aok / aoc
^^ Thanks for the info, but I already knew all that I have both AoK (2.0) and AoC (1.0) .iso files (and that switcher program), but none of them (whatever version) can work with original (non-cracked) .exe file(s). That`s why cracks (no-cd) exist in the first place :P I mount it with Alcohol 120%, but even with .iso mounted, original CD .exe won`t work (asks to put CD in).
Thanks for PM, I`ll try that version, too, who knows If it still won`t work, I`ll give DeamonTools a try over Alcohol120%, that`s my last shot... or buying original disk, which is another fair solution :P
Tell me, you are able to watch smush game with only .iso mounted?
EDIT: I googled a bit, and it looks like "Alcohol 120%" can quite effectively bypass CD protection (no need for cracked exe, recognizing mounted CD image as original disk), but the only thing is that it has to be selected as option upon creating the image file (.iso) If the original disk is turned into image file without option to copy protection, then it won`t work, still giving error message to insert CD even when image is mounted (like mine does at the moment :P ).
