Tested, did like 6 damage to a single MAA before it killed a house (which took a rather long period of time). Interesting/good one.

even though it was not an intended feature for all we know, i do believe it should just stay in. the damage is minimal and seems like a fun little extra regarding realism.

How can people could tell to keep it secret? !? :mad:

Knowing something buggued that gives you an advantage in competition (even very low) and not reporting it, is called an exploit abuse! It is quite bad for many reasons* and should be prohibited (like it is in many games).

(*For example, taking longer to be fixed)

Ok so explanation time :

This bug where houses can attack exists only in the Expansions, on both HD and WK. But as ohers have pointed out, on any version if you start the game with stable, range, market, or any building that can train unit but no yet in this age, they can attack as well.

I'm going from memory but it's due to how ES coded gather points. For a building to be able to set a gather point, it needs to have the ability to attack. Weird, but that's ES coding for you.

BUT if a building doesn't have garrison space and can't produce units, the ability to set gather points is not activated, because it's not needed. It has the unfortunate side effect that the building is left with the ability to attack, allowing them to attack units with 0 range and 0 attack, which is rounded up to 1.

tldr, because houses can garrison vils they can also attack.
Makes a lot of sense, very interesting. What is the rate of fire for houses/buildings and would increasing that (if possible) somewhat address the problem?

Edit: Silly me, this obviously wouldn't help with right-clicking the unit to attack

- I bought a sword.
- I used it to destroy a house in real life.
- I got a bit hurt too.
Very interesting, i would love to get more information about this.
Please attack your local Monestary next.

Speaking of WK bugs - could we also get a pathing fix? i mean its obviously bugged, i have never ever had this high amount of pathing issues. I would like to share a rec with examples, but i raged so hard in that chat and my language was so bad, that i dont want to share it. I was already fed up with the pathing that my I flamed my teammates so hard

Listen, i really want to be the last person to flame WK, because it brought me many problems, but since nobody made a thread about that and its that obviously i had to do it here

@TriRem @scripter64 if you want i can send you the recording + examples and minute notes
I think you should give evidence to your claims. Test some scenarios where aoc and wk behavior differ. Otherwise you can believe whatever you want.

I'm not like 100% angry behind my screen^^ Don't worry. But wanted to set it clear (for future issues) that it would be better to not keep those things secrets. And we should encourage people not keeping those secrets!

It's not only you who "joked" about it:
Original poster, who actually "hided" it on purpose, what I called in my previous post "a bug exploit" behaviour:
a bug i discovered some months ago but that i wanted to keep secret until today.
And other joked about it, with laughing face or 11 (like you)
But some didn't add any "laugh" to their post:
dasso u should have kept it a secret.
For this bug, it's not that game changing but imagine one that is in the future? Would you like it to be kept secret and biased games with unfair advantages?

Hm, maybe i forgot to say this: house attack doesn't trigger the under-attack alert.

if you're attacking houses with your MnA you've already failed to do the kind of damage that makes that strat worth it.
Yeah, sure, but usually your opponent is able to spot your strat and quickwall resources with palisades or houses. In this situation, you usually attack buildings to make pressure if you can't make damage somewhere (and that's so common, come on...).
