Hey there,
I recently encountered quite a few situations where I was playing Scouts vs M@A. I went into Skirms against his M@A and archer transition, which is the usual follow up for both sides afaik. But then I struggled if he switched into Scouts and went full Feudal.
I'm not quite sure what my prefered reaction to that should be. Starting to produce Scouts again and possibly getting upgrades faster than the opponent? Mixing archers into my Skirm army so I can micro against Scouts?
I guess mixing in archers is the more greedy approach where I still try to get Castle Age pretty fast, while going Scouts is more of a commitment to full Feudal.
It probably also depends on the situation (of course^^) and questions like: How many and what kind of ranged units does he have (could my archers be easily sniped?)? Do I still have Scouts left, which could going for more+upgrades more viable? Am I fully walled, is my opponent fully walled (upgrades Scouts are probably better if the answer is no).
I would love to get some insights from high(ish) rated players, who familiar with the usual transitions. So far I played for faster Castle Age times most of the time, but I reached a level where that gets punished if I cant wall my map easily (~1800), so I'm looking forward to improve my transitions and more agressive play :D
