Hey, about a week ago I decided to stream, yesterday I bought a second monitor, problem is now I freeze and it become almost unplayble ( in 1v1 it’s still ok but in tg freeze is too big).
I have good computer, graphic carte etc and checked already it’s definitly not because of that 100%.

Maybe some setting to change or install, or in voobly stuff ?
Anyone have idea ?

It seems to be a combination of Nvidia and MS both screwing up and being lazy to fix, apparently what could help might be putting the 144Hz monitor onto 120Hz (simply multiple of 60; more info), or what should help for sure is putting the secondary monitor into your integrated graphics (so not the card), you might have to adjust something in BIOS so that the integrated one isn't automatically turned off when GPU card is installed if it does that.

It feels like a Windows 10 problem I swear. With that said disabling hardware acceleration and disabling all the UP 1.5 animations for water and stuff partially removed alot of the freezing for me. I think my pc is pretty old so yea it sucks but I play slow anyway so no big deal.

I will tell you my friend ! I had same issue, and it is the monitors Frequency :D they cant be diff from each other. You probably had 60hz monitor and now you got a 144hz monitor or something like that
you can ask Heart as well, we both had same issue. Im just getting another 144hz monitor as soon as possible, thats the only way to fix it =* cya

If it does solve it it's not because it's faster or anything. It's something wrong with how it should be working. Even a low end gpu can run dual monitors of aoc.

Viper has a gtx 1080 listed on his twitch page. Maybe it's something with geforce drivers and win 10.

I know Viper had the same problem and he had to stop using 2 monitors when playing AOC.

I use two monitors to play AoC/Stream, your GPU is better and your processor is fairly similar to mine so I don't think it's your specs at all, plus I run at least 30 tabs + 10 other programs at once at all times whereas you never have anything open. Feels just like a settings/compatibility issue.

Yeah, I had similiar problems, and only solution I found was not using multiple monitors.

I bought a second computer because I wanted a dual streaming setup and I thought it would cure the freezes. While setting it up, I still kept streaming a little bit with my gaming pc and after I had disconnected the extra screens(they were moved to the second pc), suddenly everything was super smooth again.

Edie, there is a setting in voobly called "multi-monitor-support" or something like that. While I don't think it works to let the game span across multiple monitors, I wouldn't be suprised if it fixed ur problem.
Hey thanks I’m gonna try when I get back to home today and let u know, ty !!

@TheViper i see, in my case the use of second monitor isn’t even worth, for the little streamer I am but I still wanted to have it even if it’s a investisment, so I won’t buy another computer for this, I would rather just use one or don’t stream. But I’m sure there must be a way to fix this without buying another computer, it’s not normal

And they tell me to upgrade to win 10. Can you post your graphics card and monitors? It sounds like more of a gpu driver issue. I use a 144 hertz monitor and a 60 hertz monitor on windows 7 without any problems ever.

If you and viper are both using the same gpu with win10 that'd help narrow down the problem. If not, it'd be more work to narrow down the problem.

i think both are 60hz , the second monitor i just bought is 180 € and my friend told me 144hz are way way more expensive than this so is no way one is 144 hz (my 1st bought it also like 150 €)
oh boy ! thats weird, i did a test here with two 60hz monitors and no freezing at all, 60/144 tons of it and 144hz/144hz again no freeze at all :frown:

i will ask Heart to take a look on the topic as well

It seems to be a very common problem with two monitors, although I'm surprised both of yours are 60hz, thought it only happened when one of them was 144hz. The only solution I found was to just turn one monitor off when playing AoC, other people with the same problem on other games have tried upgrading their computers but that didn't help. I currently read the chat and alerts from my stream on a laptop until I get my second computer ready.

This week I am receiving a GTX 1080 TI, more RAM and an NVMe SSD, if that doesn't help solve the problem then it will confirm that it's not hardware related.
