As the title suggests, Hello, I am The Red Prince! I just wanted to introduce myself on this forum, since I hadn't done so before.
I'm an AOE2 streamer currently on Twitch, where I stream a few days every week. A bit of background, I am a history student from the Netherlands,, finished a master's and am about to embark on a PhD as well. At the moment, I live in Florida (but no, I'm not T90's secret neighbor, that would've been too cool). I've played AOE2 all my life but only began to seriously improve beyond my usual schtick (turtling with cheat codes against the easy AI) a few years ago when I discovered T90, SOTL and this awesome and vibrant community that exists surrounding AOE2.
One year ago I decided to turn on a microphone (and since, a webcam), and started streaming this lovely game. I generally cast live games of players around the mid-elo, expert games or recs, and dabble in the occasional tournament cast - casting being something that I am very passionate about, and my goal as a streamer is to become a legitimate caster like some of the current casters I look up to.
I also very much enjoy hanging out with my audience and playing casual lobby games, or maps with weird settings. I may not be a professional player in the slightest, but that doesn't make it any less entertaining (certainly for my audience, apparently). Lastly, I am planning on hosting some small tournaments of my own soon, also - but I'll be sure to make a proper post for that when I do.
In any case, my twitch link is https://www.twitch.tv/theredprince97 and my discord server is https://discord.gg/ghaXYruGXa
Feel free to stop by and hang out! I always like it when people show up to talk about a 23-year old game that has never lost its flair, or other things that interest them. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this post, I appreciate it!
PS: Tomorrow, 8/6 at 12 PM EST, I'll be casting the Finals of an awesome 3v3 tournament, Virgo Cup VII, which I have been casting for over a month. There are three finals (one per elo category) and it is bound to be a blast
