Then Ivaylo was better player, still.
Ivaylo was Viper. Nobody else could have pulled off that Huns vs Byz game.

tbh, the level of strategical creativity makes me doubt it is hera rn. But that might be me thinking too muchHe just reached a new level this tournament. John and Philip shared amazing prepared strats like Britons on Cup and Italians on Bay, and John had unique ones like Bulgarians as a hardcounter to Aztecs on Arabia. This is meta-defining, and something noone expected from Hera coming into this tournament. The creativity of things like Celts Paladins in that exact situation is unique. It is the level of creativity I'm used to from Viper, but I don't see Viper doing these exact strats. It is just new, and super enjoyable.

That's the biggest problem for me, some games Ivaylo really just doesnt look like Viper, but that Cross game is so insanely Viper that idk, even those fish traps perfectly placed around the dockIvaylo was Viper. Nobody else could have pulled off that Huns vs Byz game.
Who was the one going 50 arbs as Aztecs without ever switching to Eagles and microing like a god then?Ivaylo is Liereyy

I feel bad for Burgundians, not picked onceHave Incas been drafted this tournament? I feel bad for the civ : /
Oh yeah, I hate it when those classic civs are rejected.I feel bad for Burgundians, not picked once
We finally saw Turks thanks to Nili, even Koreans. I am ok with that, learned to live with less.Have Incas been drafted this tournament? I feel bad for the civ : /
I thought about that earlier. What civs have we not seen drafted?Have Incas been drafted this tournament? I feel bad for the civ : /
Even more surprising knowing that some maps have big laming potential. I actually wanted to see vill rush on mudflow ^^I thought about that earlier. What civs have we not seen drafted?
Incas for sure. Ethiopians too right? Have we seen burmese? Maybe once.
Don't think we have seen cumans either.
I think Ethiopians are completely a victim of the map pool. Very strong civ, definitely liked by a lot of players, the problem is it's just simply not good on almost all HC maps. The only maps where they could've worked I think are Goldrush/Quarry/...Bypass?I thought about that earlier. What civs have we not seen drafted?

Agree, it was top tier in the RBW format and those maps. Not so much on HC maps.I think Ethiopians are completely a victim of the map pool. Very strong civ, definitely liked by a lot of players, the problem is it's just simply not good on almost all HC maps

You mean HC3 strategy of Tatoh? Also Daut used it.Controversial opinion
Celts aren't a top tier Cup civ and they only worked last time because players were caught by surprise.
Yeah, when players know what's coming Celts are relatively easy to be countered ( in my opinion ) .You mean HC3 strategy of Tatoh? Also Daut used it.
I'm shocked how nobody on Cup used Koreans honestly, feels like a great civ both for turtle ships vs very few ships, tower control, general turtleness of how the map plays out.Controversial opinion

This is correct. I cannot believe people picked them in the semis and final.Controversial opinion
