I'm thinking they would be playing a few games yesterday or today to prep for finals - and I haven't seen anything confirming semis were played todayYeah, it means nothing tbh. IF any of them plays unranked tmr before the final though....
What if the four GL players and the four aM/Tempo players decided to roleplay as each other and switched playstyles and strategies and keyboards and used VPNs to throw us all off and keep the guessing competition prize money for themselves? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is the account posted by Guessr (I just changed the profile number at the top, circled in red). The two games that show up to the right were played today (Saturday). The only previous game on the graph is from last year.
Since we know that Saladin and Admiral Yi Sun-shin lost more than 3 games (combined) I assume the games lost counter isn't working properly. However, perhaps we can trust the total games played. If this were true, given that Saladin played 16 games in HC3 (3-0 ACCM, 3-1 Yo, 4-1 dogao and 4-0 Hera) and 8 games so far in HC4... maybe Admiral vs Sundjata was a 7 game thriller?
Finally, the flag. I have no idea why the flag is Canadian, and aoe2.net seems to reflect the country where the account was created/the game was bought. If that were not the case that Canadian flag could put a question mark somewhere...
Maybe they also switched up all the training partners to really confuse us. Joran, Daut, Liereyy and MbL coordinated on strats and so did Viper, Tatoh, Hera and Nicov. Then when the winner is announced and it's Yo they all wish they'd focussed on preparing instead of mindgaming AOEZone.Split between the 8 of them, I think the guessing competition prize money would be less than what they'd get if they spent the same amount of time and effort busking with a harmonica on the streets of their respective hometowns.

Ok I think this one is for real a spoiler so plz don't click if you don't want semi resultsView attachment 190676

wow ok so no guarantee that this account is Viper (as robo said it was randomly reassigned) - BUT this seems to suggest that the semis were played today .... and (the streak) suggests that Admiral wins in 7?

You can do the same thing with Ivaylo's profile: https://aoe2.net/#profile-76561199030827125
Agreed this is probably all speculation and way off 11I'm not sure the streak can be trusted, given that the lost games counter is wrong. We shall see!
Around that particular level it can be up to 8 different players, while the other finalists are predictable for their consistency and style.Well, if Admiral is the only one you don't know, just check the rest of your list and whoever is missing it's gonna be him :P

Most guesses from here about the first matches are going to be wrong.
Admiral is Jordan, first of all, when you see Turk pick you gonna think about gl players, so Ivaylo(viper), Gonzalo(Daut) and Jordan, they all picked turk before. Then his playstyle is close to Viper but there are still some gaps in micro, open map such things, which made him not like viper, only 1 person you can guess is Jordan.Who do you think Admiral is? What does your intuition tell u?
Didn't you say Nicov was a practice partner too? The Tatars pick on Arabia from Bela and the approach of that game felt very similar to Nicov's Arabia game vs Fire in the qualifiers. You are right most part here, Pope Leo is Villese, his playstyle is kinna boring, im always falling sleep whatching him play. King bela is Dogao, his draf is simillar with Sundjada, why? cuz they scrimed with each other before. So Little John is Nicov.
I share the instinctive feeling, but that's not a proper reasoning. You can't base your guesses on the level of a player: anyone can overperform or underperform. I may have given a 1% chance to Jordan to reach a top 5 level thanks to his pre-tournament practice or tryhard. And we're in that 1%, even if he's Ivaylo. There are way too many big signs that he's Admiral or Ivaylo, and I'm confident he is Admiral based on small details. With all due respect to Jordan, I would bet that I will never play the age 2DE again because he is not the Admiral, since he is a top 5 in the world.
Nicov not tasking sixth vill to second sheep here althought it would make more sense (his villager bumps and gets idle a bit because his first sheep was kinda poorly placed):Villese and Nicov both tend to have perfect pinwheel farms, task their 6th vil to a 2nd sheep, and weaken the boar with the tc (at least most of the time). Pope and Little John both did all three of those.
I was mostly going off what someone mentioned in this thread earlier, but I was looking through his recent streams and the first time he didn't push deer he did the 2nd sheep: https://clips.twitch.tv/CorrectKathishBibimbapCoolStoryBro-uyMDIX6Bj47iFmHxDo you have a game where he did it? The other games casted from qualifiers it was either Chinese, Lithuanians weird BO, or Lyx/Fire/something else shown at that time. I try to mostly use recent tournament games because the settings are similar, but if you have a screenshot from a ladder game I take it too.
I'm fairly confident Villese is Pope Leo based on drafts and playstyle if that helps you. My investigation is really between Nicov and dogao.
