In order of certainty: I'm pretty sure Master of the Templar is MBL, and I think War Wolf is likely Daut - I feel like Harald could be Vinch, and Admiral Yi could be Hera on an off day. As for the rest I have basically no idea. I don't think Sundjata is Yo though, Yo is a reasonably good islands player and a decent drafter, I don't see him going for YOLO Celts strats there. Maybe Vivi? I don't think we've seen Viper or Larry yet.

I think so too.

I'll make a comprehensive guess tomorrow after the rest of the sets, but my preliminary read is that Admiral Yi is Jordan and he has a really solid shot at the finals, which is utterly wild. Unfortunately, I've fallen far behind at work and am GM'ing a bunch of Pathfinder this weekend, so I won't have time to comb through recs and try-hard the prediction game like I wanted to. Oh well.

I think after tomorrow it should be pretty easy to tell who everyone is. I'm only confused about the first set today, for last 6 players I'm 99 % sure,

Yo is a good Islands player, but because of Harald's draft (banning Vikings, picking Italians and Portuguese) he was forced into picking a lesser Islands civ like Persians or Spanish or going for something wild like Celts. We know he likes Celts on Islands so I don't think it's inconceivable that he was Sundjata.

for sure upper two players had lower level than others

I'm fairly convinced Sundjata was Mr Yo. Very confident and making all the right choices in the last game. He defended perfectly without overreacting. His micro wasn't top-notch so not Hera, Liereyy or Viper.

Was just able to watch the last game in the set between Warwolf and Jacqueline. Pretty sure:
Jacqueline - Bact (or Barles - a player I am not too familiar with)
Warwolf - ACCM

Some players will almost always kill their boar with the TC (Yo, Viper, Tatoh, Villese from what I have observed) and some will almost never kill their boar with TC (Daut, MbL, Nicov) so it's somewhat possible to narrow down.

Also farm placement could potentially be a thing. Some players are obsessed with making at least their first farms clean around their tc to the point that they will delete and replace a farm even if it's slightly off. And some, like our lord, don't care about how it looks and don't care about the first row farms either.

It makes it somewhat easier to identify players by watching recs since you can put view lock and see what actions they do and in what order.

Just because he lamed 1 boar and made skirms? There are many reasons it's not him:

- The ARABIA game: Mbl would had gone forward siege workshop 100% with the map advantage he had. He wouldn't had resigned so fast either.

- MUDFLOW as a hm? MBL? 11 this reason alone makes this not him

But I agree there where 2 top players here, best series for sure.

The biggest thing you can do to narrow it down is look at your keyboard: is there the ´ symbol next to the questionmark? Probably not for you. That is a typo Master of Templar did in the last game (he asked: server´ instead of server? and then corrected it). English and Spanish keyboards don't have this one close, Norwegian and German (amongst others probably) have it right next to the question mark, both activated by shift. I was more on the Hera train but this one is kinda hard to explain otherwise.

If you wanna go further, not weakening the boar with TC and the walling in g1 as well as getting housed has a bit of vibes, but nothing as clear. The boar lame actually made me believe it's not him, lol.

I haven’t watched the series in question and I have no clue if there’s any other indication in this direction, but I‘ve watched every single qualifier game from BacT and in roughly 50% of the games he went fwd to lame with the scout in minute 1.

one big thing is that he sent out 2 scouts as he clicked up to castle age, which is something i've seen MbL do often. T90 said it's something he is known for. i hope i'm wrong though because i wanted MbL to win

He has a very unique way of using his sixth villager. He tasks it to the second sheep, placed on the carcass of the first sheep. This stacks the two carcasses and reduces idle villager time by a few seconds when the 5 other villagers move from the first sheep to the second. I think he's the only one doing it that exact way, although someone mentioned the same for Villese.

i watch his stream fairly often, but i can't remember if he always does this. I haven't noticed at least. Yesterday, however, pope leo was the only one (there might have been others, it was hard to tell) who consistently tasked the 6th vil on new sheep fwiw.

another thing viper does consistently is when he pushes deer, he garrisons the vills, sets the gather point on the deer and ungarrisons to kill the deer, instead of just restasking them. Some other pros do this too i think, but some don't.
