I love that Barles has finally qualified and in doing so he took down none other than Hearttt... I have to give this one to Vinchester tho. I mean remember Visible Cup finals not too long ago? That was a hot mess, both players were struggling to find consistency... Since then Vinch has cleaned up his play and with the insane ability to come up with new strats he is looking deadly. The fact that all of the SalzZ members are climbing the ranks only adds to that. While classicpro and Dark would most likely get to the level they are at eventually, I think we can credit Vinch for how insanely fast they both got there.
Honorable mention to Daniel, who played very well against a clear favourite, and should have won the set if he didn't throw the islands game terribly. But that's the problem with long and tiring sets, and some lack of tournament experience. You can't play your best every single game.
I voted vinchester because he simply was amazing, even though Slam didn't show his best that day.
Jordan came close second, beating Max is always an amazing feat, even though Max hasn't been the same for the past few months in terms of skill, and we saw it during the qualifier.
Didn't manage to watch the Villese set, so can't say anything about that one.
Nicov's gameplay was solid. He might make it through one round depending on the draw.
I was amazed at how close the 9th to 24th player were. it might mean great games against the already qualified top8 (even though I feel the top 4 should clearly win against any of the newly qualified, and arguably DauT, Tatoh and MbL shouldn't lose against them either).
Vinch might beat one of the favourites. And it would be hilarious to see Jordan play Daut after what Daut said on Jordan during the cast with T90 111111111
Looking forward to guessing them during the tournament now
for the vote, it's obviously Barles for me, who makes to a major tournament for the first time.
if about the unexpected performance of other players, I guess it should be Jordan and Vivi.
Jordan performs very solid against Max, and Max did not make many mistakes although he was a bit off.
Vivi makes everything looked easy, but he pulled one of his best performance since last year.
I think Nicov also did great, although Lyx was not good at adapting new maps and basically only good on 1v1 arabia, he was in hot form beating miguel and stark, so beating him 4-1 is good one.
Villese vs Laan is an easy guess to me given Villese's form and current level, it surprise me that he didn't played as clean as I thought, but he's still a strong contender for second round. Same for Vinch.
