Caelir will answer for himself, but I just wanted to say that I think you misunderstood his point - he didn`t mean to lower the value of your work nor to demotivate you, but as this is happening inside the AoFE forums and people are starting to get excited he needs to think of a possibility that it might not get into AoFE (as it does need much more work) and that people might be disappointed, so he just wants to avoid disappointing people with certain "preset" high expectations
Other than that, if the set is finished and it looks great, I guess they`ll be more than happy to use it inside AoFE, but it`s better to wait and see than to have some strongly believing that this set must get into AoFE - it doesn`t. If it will, it`s up to all of you, just keep up the good work
Thanks for clarifying it Buga. That was indeed my point. Like I said: the set is very cool and I'm 100% pro for implementing this. I greatlty value the work of TheRoperter and Yan. Watching how a set comes to live (not only this one) is one of my favourite things. The members of the graphic team can back this up
However, when you make a game / expansion you'll have 1000 of good ideas and only 60 will make it actually in the game. Let me give you the famous example of the siege tower. This was never officially anounced as a new unit. However, some saw it in the streams and today we still get questions about it. Same goes for the fortified pallisade gate. People are asking to give it to Huns to counter their lack of stone wall.
All I wanted to say is: I love the effort but don't be mad if it doesn't make it to the game. There are lots of other factors than the coolness of a new set. Building up an expectation and then failing to provide it, will only do harm to AoFE. Upcomming features should be announced when they are 90% done. This set is only 5% done, so we still have to stay realistic (not pessimistic).
