Golden League 3rd Place Match Has MORE viewers than the Grand Final? Why?

I'm a huge fan of Viper and AOE2 so I watched the match for 3rd but not the Grand Final. ECG is on my followers list and I noticed the viewers went down during the final. Is Viper's or his opponents influence in AOE4 that big? Was it the Red Bull spot? Their combined influence? Break in production? Something else?

Viper has the largest viewership out of all the pros in AOE2 but without him AOE2 grand finals still rate higher than the semis. If a tournament was getting a small amount of views I'd understand individual players influencing views so heavily. But, GLeague is still getting mid - high 4 figures and it's clearly a big tournament.

Currently ECG has 6.5k viewers, I think the set for 3rd hit 10k.

Casters changed, Grubby left EGCTV cast and started streaming grand final with 1-2k viewers on his own channel so it was more like viewers moved to watch Grubby cast.

Grand final itself was 5-1 sweep while 3rd place was 3-2

Overall viewers for the final was stable at around 13-15k. I was very happy with this personally, especially in context of an 11-week event that was always more about continuity of content than one big peak. Don't think much loss of viewership was down to who was playing but more about the fact a couple thousand watched went to Grubby's channel, and Beastyqt then streamed his games so another 1k or so watched his POV. My view is as much focused on the event's overall performance and scene's growth, so perfectly happy to see the views go there as long as they were watching the event.

Grubby started streaming for the grand final and had a few thousand viewers, same with beastyqt, a German streamer started and the majority of egctv viewers were German who id imagine left for the German stream which had about a thousand

I'm going off event viewership as we are talking about event views. The most recent publication I saw had Hera at 1 with Viper a very close second. Considering Hera's lack of participation this year I assume Viper has become number 1. If you are curious Yo was at 4, I assume he has gone to 3rd or second with Liereyy not in recent tournaments but this isn't factoring the rise of players like Jordan's views.

It's not a great stat as better players get more views simply by being in more watched finals but you can find the article on echarts if you want to read it for yourself. There are many mistakes in the article but I think this one can be applied in this case. Please remember that due to a lack of stats the individual data may not be accurate with regards to Yo.

According to TwitchTracker your channel peaked at 10k viewers yesterday. AoEIV as a game peaked at 13k. I don't know where you're getting your "stable 13-15k" viewers from (maybe you have a more trustworthy site) and you're certainly free to do what you want and believe what you want, but be careful not to overdose on copium while looking at the stats.

and for me, I dont has any account on Twitch and Douyu or Huya, but has no problems watch games on Twitch and Douyu( I dont go Huya).here lot of people watch Douyu too, they dont need an account

It's indeed odd that TwitchTracker would not take that into account, but that's hardly "stable", I'd say. After all, the entire AoE4 category had 13k viewers at ~21 GMT according to Twitch itself, too.
