Hi guys,

I understand it might not be of relevance for everybody, but for those who care I am here to report this player for Spec Cheating. Not sure if this is contemplated as an abuse within the AoE community and also for the devs, but at least I can make you aware of this in case you don't know yet.

This happens when I am on Twitch to play 1vs1 ranked. I usually go open random civ but I pick a civ in case my opponent wants to play with pick civ only. What this guy does is to open my streaming, see what civ I have picked and pick the counter civ. I met him twice in a row yesterday and he did that in both games. My viewers realized that as well and reported him during my streaming.

On top of this he comes to steal boars by looking at my streaming and knowning where to go exactly.
I don't have any problem playing vs counter civ, the problem is that this kind of practice ruins my games and I no longer enjoy playing. I am sure several people here have experienced playing with this guy and being harassed during the game.

We should stop people like him from keep doing these stupid things.

This brings us to another topic of civ picking. This aspect of the game is just dumb imo and ruins fun of every ladder game where you just want to have a casual game and other guy picks a tryhard civ and one tricks the same stupid strat, like the God guy doing the Berber villager rush or hoang doing his things.

I don't think this is a healthy way to play the game as it is splitting the players into civ pickers and non civ pickers and creates a rivalry between them. Better just split the ladder into random or non-random.

While I would prefer it if everyone goes random as I prefer going random, ladder isn't casual. If you would like a casual game you have quick play and custom lobbies to use.

I play ladder for fun and "casually" (try to play well but still go random civ and fun strats) but I accept that I will be against players who might be going a lot harder, that's something I have to accept when finding a ladder game.

The civs could be a coincidence, he seems to be picking Indians and Goths a fair bit lately (before and after your games), and he regularly picks the same civ 2 games in a row then switches (which he did here, G1 vs Vilager he goes Indians, G2 Indians again vs you, G3 Goths vs you, G4 Goths again vs Northern Pike Spanish).

Looking at some other games vs streamers, the picks don't look very suspicious (hard to weight this a lot b/c a lot of streamers don't pick civ at all).

The boar lame doesn't look overly suspicious, he found his stuff then went forward.

Could he be cheating? 1.
Am I convinced beyond a reasonable doubt from just the evidence stated in my post? 2.

probably not. you try too hard and I don't like that

furthermore i prefer more popular noobs, for exemple players who regularly play tournaments (and lose), player who stream, players in clans, etc.

@RaiD_ First of all I think it's a pity that you don't write to me personally. To clear things up, I'm currently training Goten, so I've picked Goten many games before. Maya is one of the best civs in the game and unfortunately gets countered by Goten, that can happen.

I looked for our 1st game in your stream because the name seemed familiar to me. I originally wanted to watch our match again, but since that didn't work, I was put back in the queue and we met again (this happens very often on the Elo). I was just lucky with the boar, it's not the first time I've lamed and it won't be the last as long as the developers don't tone it down, I stand by it and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Otherwise, I can only give you the tip if you want to play 100% Tryhard, create a 2nd account to play there without stream, limiting your defeats to streamsniping is a bit too easy. GLHF all
