Things you should be specifically aware of:
- All games are played on ZN@HyperRandom, a map designed by Zetnus that can be found in the “Zetnus HyperRandom” mod from the mod center.
- All lobbies must be set up without hidden civilization, and players have to pick random civ.
- Standard victory has to be enabled, so relic and wonder victories are possible.
- You must enable a public lobby, with spectators disabled (this is a tricky decision to take, but the advantage of spec cheating on this map is too big and it is the easiest solution to prevent it – there might be a change of rules for later rounds).

1. Schedule and format
Signups will close on January 9 2022.
Group stage will start on January 10 and will take place over the next 3 weeks, up to January 30.
8 groups will be made of 5-6 players and each player will play his opponents on Play All 3 settings (due to the sometimes unpredictable and unfair nature of the map and of random civ, this should even things out).
Each player will receive one point per map won. The top player of each group will reach Ro16, and the second and third player of each group will go to a "Ro24" decider where a second of group and a third of group will face up for a place in Ro16.
Knockout stage will start on February 14 with a single elimination bracket. Players will play one set per week until finals. All sets will be BO3, except for the finals which will be BO5. The tournament should end around March 13.

2. Players and Seeding
Seeding will be based on average of current and highest RM 1v1 elo (taken on January 9).
The tournament will be restricted to players below 1500 elo (based on average of current and highest RM 1v1 elo, taken on January 9) who do not qualify for the top 32 of Master of HyperRandom. Furthermore, you need to have played at least 50 1v1 ranked games and to have played online reasonably recently.
Any smurfing attempt will result in disqualification and a potential ban from future tournaments.

3. Scheduling
Players will schedule their games at any time during the defined time frame. They are free to schedule privately, but need to post their confirmed time publicly on Discord in the dedicated channel. If players can’t agree on a schedule, admins will determine a time to the best of their ability. If a player shows unwillingness to schedule they will get an admin loss for the series.
If a player is 30 minutes late to a series, they will get an admin loss for the series. An exception can only be made if the player who waited agrees to reschedule at a time that does not create further delays for the tournament. Repeated delays and general lack of communication might lead to disqualification.

7. Player Restarts
One player restart per set, which has to be called within 4 minutes of game time. In case of a restart, civilisations will both be random again.
8. Admin Restarts
An admin restart can be called in the following cases:
- Within 1 minute of game time if a starting unit doesn’t have a path to the TC
- Within 4 minutes of game time, if you are sure that there is an error in the map generation.
In case of gold/stone and wild animals/herdables, if they don’t have a path to the TC (e. g. trapped in a forest).
If the other player doesn't agree with the call, admin restarts game files should be sent to an admin. If the restart was abusive, and the player calling the restart won the game eventually, decisions will be made by admins to the best of their ability.

9. Laming
Straggler trees laming within 12 tiles of the opponent’s TC is not allowed, except if the said tree is part of a wall.
Fish laming is not allowed within 12 tiles of the opponent’s TC.
All other forms of laming are allowed.

10. Recorded Games
Recorded games will have to be posted on Discord immediately after the game in the dedicated channel with the score, using a spoiler tag ( || on either side of the score).
11. Mods
Graphical mods are allowed. All other mods are not allowed and using them will be considered as cheating.
12. Sanctions
Third party programs, receiving external information and any kind of cheating like smurfing will lead to disqualification and will affect participation in future tournaments. Disrespecting the opponent, the admins or the tournament might also lead to sanctions.
13. Streaming Policy
The tournament is completely open streaming. Streamers should contact the admins to access extra information.
Players are encouraged to stream their POV if they want to. In that case, they must not receive any information from their chat.
Casting the tournament is allowed for everyone, but it won’t be possible to cast games live (see 5. Lobby Settings). Casters who would really want to cover a specific set live can contact the admins to find a compromise.
