Hey everybody, I have to say I was fascinated by what happened in the FFA game and the different reactions to it from people watching. So much so that I'm actually posting on Aoczone after lurking for a couple of years.
Anyway, whether what Tyrant did was right or wrong isn't really what I'm interested in. What I'm interested in is do you think it will end up being good or bad for the community? I'll make a case for each:
It will end up being good for the community because:
- It certainly gets everyone talking and all abuzz about AOC, and more activity is always good
- It probably creates more animosity between Tyrant and RVK, which should lead to harder practice/more expert games as each clan will want to prove they're better than the other. Also real animosity between people in sport/games just adds intensity and interest to the games.
It will end up being bad for the community because:
- It has the potential to turn fans off to the game and reduce interest in future games
- Some experts have a tendency to have thin skin, so it could lead to reluctance to do showcase games or streaming of games in the future
