Serious question and i don't want to generate more drama, but since i haven't seen an official statement about it. Was Memb invited to this event? He is not exactly my cup of tea for casting since he is too intense but he organises amazing tournaments (and besides ECL the only high profile "serious" competitive ones, although the MoA and WC 2v2 are also great).
I'm currently watching he Sunday vod and it's a substantial improvement over saturday. I'm sure the Escape guys know what they need to iron out, but i think the best way to grow would be for all.of the community to be united. Imagine a KOTD2 final using the Manchester studio, that could be awesome!
Edit: i just saw how they set the guess who and chess boards. Never do that in front of camera!! Cut to people talking and come back when all is set, despite how much fun watching Robo fumbling pieces was
Since he wasn't featured (at least in the parts from saturday or the whole sunday stream i watched) it seems he didn't go to the event. Thank you, my question was serious. I was just trying to obtain an answer to see if the event organisers were above the scheduling drama. As AOE2 gets bigger and bigger this kind of conflicts will happen, and some events will cannibalize others, this is not and ideal world sadly. I just would like better communications between tournament organizers next time, since it seems something shortcircuited here and left fans of both sides salty and arguing. If some dates/player presences were set in stone beforehand it would have been nice to let the community know so they can organize around it. Escape tv launch happened and this weekend we resume KOTD2 so everything is fine in the AoE2 worldI'm obviously not an official voice but I'm 99.9% sure all of the major Escape casters were invited to this event, including Memb.
