Enhanced RMS

Enhanced RMS (.erms) is an alternative syntax for AoC random map scripts. Enhanced RMS scripts compile to standard RMS.

Since this is the first version, there could be some bugs. Please let me know if you encounter a problem (post the script here). I'm also willing to add features based on feedback. I'm not an RMS expert, so I don't know what would be most useful.

Why not just make a syntax that can work using regular scripts, like Python or Lua?

# Can register an atexit feature that generate the map from whatever is called here.

info("Mystic Mountain")

# Just a trick way to make a dict without using the dict syntax....
def player_land():
    terrain_type = ROAD2
    land_percent = 2
    left_border = right_border = top_border = bottom_border = 10
    clumping_factor = 2
    return locals()

# Define that section.
player_section(base_terrain = GRASS, land_percent = 100, **player_land())

it seems like it would be annoying to have to recompile every time I want to test my progress

but I also didn't really look through it that much and I'm not really a map maker

Surely possible, but:
a) RMS scripts don't support many runtime operations, using syntax from a language that does is misleading.
b) ERMS is supposed to be an easy transition from RMS - I'd prefer not to force a potential non-programmer to learn Python(/etc).

So, no, other than possibly/hopefully being easier to work with.

But seems interesting, I'll have a look at this and play around with it one of the next days I think
