It looks like AoE2DE has no anti-cheat system whatsoever and people are starting to implement their own ideas how the game should be like:

Did you forget something to mark the irony/sarcasm? Because I don't understand how user reporting would solve the vulnerability of a software for cheating in ranked matches. As in: user reporting is no anti-cheat.

It's not even necessary to cheat on purpose... since a couple of days I noticed that I drop almost every game around minute 10 to 16 (instead of one in three like it was normal), but now the game decides that my opponent dropped instead, and gives me puntos. I guess I can get #1 on the ladder now unless maybe if they ban me for doing nothing except try to play

 

Regarding the "Spawn villager at TC bug":

This appears to be a legacy bug in the game (where otherwise a desync would happen). We are looking into it, thank you.

Corresponding person on Steam has already a VAC record, though. So this could mean that someone is making active use of these bugs in ranked games.

Played a guy yesterday called ManBearPig, he douched my team mate and got wrecked while I dominated his team mate. They then somehow made my teammate drop and after they saw I was easily going to 2v1 them instead of resigning they desynched the game.

How do I know "they" did it and it wasn't just thx DE? Because their next 2 games were against another 2 of my clan, they played 2 times in a row and the exact same thing happened. The guy is on a 29 game winning streak for TGs at 2k level and sucks bad. All the evidence you need really.

That person is a disaster for this community, also known as CornPOP and I've already seen several posts on reddit, where he desynces the game on purpose. Until recently, he had the Huskarl profile picture I think, seems like he's changing names a lot.

Exakt same thing happened to me just now with this ManBearPig. he went TC douche, failed and 20 mins later desynched the game.

It's bizarre, but unfortunately some people really do have such a juvenile mindset that they enjoy "winning" even when there was no accomplishment involved. It's the same mindset that causes people to noobbash with smurfs, they need that 'fix' of "I'm a worthwhile individual", and the only place they can get it is seeing a victory screen in a video game.

Yet, if they are artificially at 2k and cant win any 2k because of lack of ability, they can only desync to avoid loosing...

Anyway, pointless to discuss it's an stupid behaviour, it's also pretty annoying and should be banned. We will get autoscouting instead, so more noobs will be in MM

Hmm, ... :-/

Looks like a basic Auto Hotkey Script. There was never a way to deal or detect these. The Voobly anticheat could be tricked into allowing scripts to run. Players were just encouraged not to use them.

Like OP said, most of these should probably be implemented as QoL changes so everyone could use them, the only problem is what do we do with monks.
