I don't like my neighbor because he talks very loudly on the phone and I don't like his face. Every time I come across him I will insult him ! After all, I don't need to be someone else, I don't like him, I'll tell him frankly. He just need to not appear in my field of view. BIG LOL

Since the time we have lived in community, mutual respect is the least to ensure a certain "live together" and good atmosphere. AOE2 players generally constitute a wonderfull community compared to other known online games and fair play is the base.

Toxicity and hate speech are to be avoided because it does not look like this community. I don't think you need a degree at the Sorbonne to understand that. There are other ways to adress issues without resorting to insults and hatred.

Three of the Moroccan players are 2k/19+ and so the accusations and hateful speech by Edie is intolerable for someone who is good at the game and do not make any sense.

BadBoy is like 2.2k and stream cheats so I don't think this point completely checks out. I'm not saying any of your friends did stream cheat but rather that their high rank does not exclude this possibility.

I will admit that I have said awful things ingame to my opponents due to salt. One of my most recent streams involved me essentially shouting vulgar things including "KILL YOURSELF" (not in chat, but out loud on my stream) during the game. Quite frankly I deserve to be banned on twitch for this kind of ****, I'm not proud of saying this stuff, it's a huge ****ing character flaw and I need to work on my anger issues obviously. My chat finds it funny. People saying "this is normal in games like LoL and CoD, chill, who cares" is baffling to me. THIS SHOULD be condoned. The fact this attitude exists at all, especially sometimes in my Twitch chat, makes me more likely to feel like I should let myself continue this behavior, which will lead to me not improving as a person as I desire to. Don't encourage my (or anyone else's) shitty behavior PLEASE.
And that being said... I at LEAST apologize afterwards!! I'm genuinely disappointed in the fact @edie is doubling down on this and continuing to call his opponents cheaters (and vaguely saying one of them is a "known cheater" without actually specifying or providing any proof) and telling them to go to hell... dude, just apologize. Clearly, people will forgive you for being a salty asshole, as people have done for me. The AoE2 community is WAY too forgiving. It works out for me, because otherwise I would be permanently banned from this community and all discords and probably the game as a whole, but objectively nobody deserves to get away with this disrespect. It actually is surprising to come back to this topic later on and it becomes a joke fest. Feels a bit weird when the Hera topic a year ago turns into a fiasco or Spring gets death threats for a week over a misunderstanding. I suppose Gregstein asked for it a bit after what he said but honestly these forums have become very strange since aoe4 came out.

We want bread and games. On more serious note, well it's quite visible when people just flame due being tilted/salty. And I think if the person actually doesn't care for real and not even feel bad later on about it, it won't even have same "funny" effect for viewers, cus it just shows person is literaly trash. While having some fun when you see tilted person flaming and then feeling bad you can relate, most of us sometimes get tilted. And playing LoL for a decade.... aoe community is like angels compared to them, not saying that lets people flame or something, but Im used to get flamed out of nowhere every game.

You don't even need to trigger LoL players to be toxic and this btw is the real response I had one of my last ranked games, didn't say a word before that question. Sure we dont want people permanently insulting each other in the Community, and it is not very nice. This Incident shows that Eddie does not seem to have the best manners, at least when he is loosing. The classic bad looser.

But come on, all this drama because some random guy who you dont know personally and who does not know you personally spoke some random insults after loosing a video game, and now you are the big victim here? If you truely feel insulted by this, maybe think about if you are a person who reacts overly sensitive? If you dont feel insulted by it, why create this post to shame Eddie in the Community? Wouldnt it just have been enough punishment to click the report button on twitch and he gets banned for a couple of days? This feels like "I win against my brother in Fifa, he hits me on the shoulder after I score a Goal and then I call the police for domestic Violence"....
