I personally love the saturday streams. It's next to impossible for me to watch during the weekdays, and it's often not easy to find the relevant vods on twitch (and it takes some time before they appear on youtube). I can very easily just switch on the tv and watch while I do other things; there is no waiting around, and since I hardly go to discord or look at aoezone, I never really get spoiled. The fact that the games aren't live never really bothered me because for all practical purposes, they feel live to me.
As someone previously mentioned, it's like watching the premier league. I can count on being provided with high quality games almost every weekend, and it requires minimal thinking on my part. Beating a dead horse here, but the production quality is a lot better as well. I love the statistics (especially the map exploration :kappa and the real-time graphs showing unit/villager comparison etc.
I understand that a lot of people do not enjoy as much unless they know that it's being played live, and it's great on Escape's part to try to listen to everyone in the community and come to a solution that enhances the tournament for more viewers. I'm happy that more people will be able to enjoy the games more on their preferred streams. For me, that preferred stream is Escape, and I'll continue to watch the saturday streams, and so will, I'm generalising here, a lot of the older/busier people who only find time during the weekends. My only hope is that the quality of the stream doesn't decrease too much, and it still remains a viable option for people to watch.
