so quick query on days where you show the semis, and then after those are completed you go straight into the final we have to go and place out bet in between those sets?

Yes. Bets will be opened for the finals right after the second semi-final completes. There will indeed only be a small break so you'll need to be quick.

How on earth can you make a prediction contest* for matches that are not streamed live officially when you can already see the results on Chinese streams? oO

*with prices involved
It's a casual side contest, and with some extra measures to prevent leaks we hope it won't be an issue, or at least not a big issue. Cheating is possible in a lot of games, and most players choose not to. It certainly is less than ideal though.

Prizes may be removed.

seriously, it would be absolutely ridiculous to have prizes involved with any sort of ECL prediction contest short of the grand finals in 2019 11

Now, I've already signed up for this, and as you can see from my flag I'm just a filthy cheater that wants to rig the results in my favor because I get to see the live stream.
/s

Personally, I can get to know the result before the stream if I want to, but where's the fun in that? I can't speak for other people, but I will try to not use this to my advantage and place the bet before the games are even played.

Still, as others posters pointed out - what if I can't resist the temptation? What if other people can't? I still think escape should come up with a better plan that take care of these issues.

Prizes should definitely be removed, otherwise it can't really work.

If it's a just for fun contest, that's ok I guess. Yet I strongly dislike the fact that Chinese players are allowed to stream while others aren't but that's a different topic...

Because "some teams want to stream live while other teams are not allowed to do it" so "prizes should be removed"
Does this look right?

Not quite sure what you want to say. Prizes must be removed because there are no fair pre-conditions for a prediction contest. If you have prizes, you reward cheating and noone will ever be able to tell whether the winner played fair.

The streaming topic is related to that because you don't even have to come up with creative tactics for cheating but can just watch regular streams to know the results (if you know the results before you can even make the betting, how do you make an objective bet?).

(My other comment was related to the fact that some players are allowed to generate income from the tournament (apart from prize money) while others aren't, which is very poor imo - but a different topic)

What are you allowed/able to change in the sheet?
You can only change the numbers in columns B, F, J, N and R which represent your bets.

The rest of the sheet is off limits, it should actually prevent you from changing anything. You might be able to change formatting, which you are free to do if you feel so inclined.

Can I bet, for example, 50 points for a 3-1 in favor of VNA and also bet 50 points for a 3-2 also in favor of VNA? Or I need to choose only one of them?

They can just the same way they want us to believe that there is no difference in streaming live vs recorded games. It's all mental gymnastics you know.

"At the end of each stage (Europe East/Africa) all players will be given some new coins to play with if their balance is low, so even if you lose you can still continue to play!"

What does this mean in detail? How many coins will be given to players with low points?

At the end of each stage if you have less than 1000 points, your balance will be restored to 1000. This number will go up later in the ECL when people have 50k+ points at the top of the leaderboards, which will inevitably happen with an event as long as this.
