Actually it is really ridiculous how this unit works?! Being able to take 0 damage from gunpowder shots and even the Mameluke or siege onager or Gbeto is just too much imo. I see making them able to dodge melee projectiles and gunpowder is just too much?!

In the last PUP this unit didn't get that big nerf, only their time frame for charging the dodge increased 5s, however, the unit is insanley fast and cheap and their training time is low.

It shouldn't recharge while they are under attack as DAve pointed it on his stream

It is somehow a good suggestion if it will not kill them completely, making them too have slower recharge have a close effect to this (which will be introduced next patch), however, not making them recharge completely while they are under attack will kill their role and they will become useless, since their role not like Coustillier, Coustillier is an attack mechanic so they attack once and then wait later, but Shirvamsha is a defence mechanic, so their charge is not once time use like attack mechanic so being able to recharge while under attack is their main role, just make it slower will be good (which will be next patch).

The problem with this unit is not the dodge mechanic in general, but that the unit have so many great strength points; highest speed in the game, cheap, low training time and good attack.

Like Mamelukes and Gbeto, they throw projectiles that do melee damage not pierce damage.

You are right. Becasue it is a laughable and weird design to make melee units throw things especially on camel "bacterian camel" in middle-east unit 11.

Mameluke, gbeto and axeman thrower and chakram thrower uses ranged melee, those aren't projectiles by any mean, i was reading on aoeforums how some highly skilled users are defending that shrivamsha can dodge mameluke attacks, for those guys then mameluke should better perform PA damage lol and huskarl shield absorbe most of the damage.

Shrivamsha has a poorly design and it is actually not working as intended dodging mamelukes swords.

If we think about it with real-world logic, it clearly makes sense for it to be able to dodge "melee" projectiles as well as arrows. Arrows are both smaller and faster than a thrown sword or axe, and thus will be harder for a guy on a horse to see and dodge successfully. If they can dodge an arrow they should easily be able to dodge an axe. Bullets on the other hand are not realistically dodgeable.

But it is not about reality more than a balance thing. If you want to talk about reality too, the Shawerma rider can take a direct shot from siege onager without losing any hp.

I purposely didn't mention siege, not sure why you bring it up as a counter-argument. You can form your own opinion on which specific siege projectiles are realistically dodgeable.

I don't buy the idea that not being able to dodge melee projectiles will somehow improve the balance of this unit when there are only 3 or 4 special units in the game that have that type of projectile. So it makes no sense from either balance or real-world logic perspectives.
