Disqualification of bacgioifro_o and VNS_FasT_

For several days the staff have been investigating the case of VNS_FasT_'s rating history and integrity, first suspicions thereof initiated by the match between MalevolentFox and VNS_FasT_. Unfortunately, evidence has been found of bacgioifro_o playing on VNS_Fast_'s account before the tournament, starting on the day VNS_Fast_ signed up for the Clash of the Titans. The account had been inactive for a long time until the sign up opened, and was since then played up to its current rating, which enabled VNS_FasT_ to enter the tournament and also receive a high, undeserved seed. Upon further investigation, bacgioifro_o also admitted to the action himself, claiming he did not mean to break the rules. While bacgioifro_o's honesty is commendable, it cannot detract from the severity of the violation. Not only does this displace seeds and take a spot away from a player who has worked hard to achieve their rating, it also raises suspicions of the potential for further manipulation in the tournament by bacgioifro_o.

When signing up for the Clash of the Titans they both agreed to the following:

#04. a) Smurfing and account sharing is not allowed. Any discovery of the mentioned will be severely punished.

Any discovery of rating manipulation in attempt to be entered to the tournament will not be tolerated and actions will be taken to punish those involved.

As VNS_FasT_ and bacgioifro_o's actions clearly violated the aforementioned rules, the staff are compelled to disqualify them from the tournament. It is our hope that this action will only serve as a strict reminder that this behavior is completely unacceptable. As the punishment does not carry over to future events, we are hoping bacgioifro_o and VNS_FasT_ will learn from their mistakes and continue to participate in future events.

[CKF]geoffrey will advance in bacgioifro's place to the 4th Round of the Qualification Stage, while MalevolentFox will take VNS_FasT_'s spot and combat VG_Paladin in Round 3.

I always believed it was bacgio, simply because in the records provided in his defense he lost to Tim, and I knew the real bacgio wouldn't lose to Tim easily. Hence someone else must be using bacgio's account at that moment

I also want to say one thing on a personal level about bac. He admitted this right away. And I think that is important testament to his character. Everyone in this community has made a mistake in one area of life or another. It takes a strong man to admit to something knowing there can be punishment to follow.

The situation is unfortunate, but as a person, I am impressed to see how he handled it. One crisis of character does not define a person forever.

I'm sad Bacgioifro is out, but it was stupid to break the rules.
Fast would just have had to sign up with a different account and get a little lower seeding and he would probably still have been allowed to participate.
