Since it's possible to simply like something instead of posting "+1" like in old aoczone, would it be possible to add a dislike ("-1") function as well?

I have seen up/down vote buttons on this forum but not in all posts. I guess that would serve what you are looking for.

I personally prefer a forum and not a hive mind which is reddit.

Kw1k pretty much sums it up, although i like the like button to express that some posts are nice or I agree with.

Having a dislike button will mostly just be abused/miss used by a lot of trolls. I don't want it to be similair to reddit either. Aoczone was fine the way it was but aoezone is like the modern forum similair to facebook.

Why?? Downvoting is a ******ed mechanic. If a comment isn't popular it will have no upvotes. There's no need for a dislike button.

Your point about Reddit sums it up perfectly. I don't even think upvote/downvote should be there at all in the questions and answers forum, the structure there is little different from a normal thread so the chronological sequence of posts provides context that is lost when the most upvoted posts rise to the top. Also, I think a dislike button allows people to be negative without having to justify themselves whereas at least an old-fashioned argument in a thread requires effort and might resolve amicably every once in a while.

I agree that a dislike button is not needed, like most people do here.

A like button is not nessecary, but I don't think it hurts anyone. It is a faster option tha writing a "I agree", "11", "+1" post, and a lot is about time and speed when you're checking forums for a few minutes, for example while waiting for a bus or in a short break.
People who want to express more can still do so.
