I watched a bit of it yesterday. Jordan and Nili both said Liereyy's micro is the best in the world right now. So I would be very interested in how his chances would be, if water maps still were all about Galley micro in Feudal Age.

Otherwise, you might be quite right. I think TheViper was always better than JorDan and DauT on water maps and MbL is not known for water play either.
In the past, dogao was considered the best 1v1 water player, F1Re would also be top in good shape. I would like to see Viper, Liereyy, TaToH, dogao, F1Re and others participate in a new Master of Islands (or perhaps with 3-5 different water maps) and have some maps with Feudal Fire Galleys deactivated and some not.

Paladins don't exist in castle age. Having 3 ponds of fish + free hand cart gives you such a sick early imp ram arb push although in fairness larrys conqs ran straight into a mass of feudal archers and died. Still Paladin and conq is so taxing on gold in 1v1. Zerk Arba Viking siege is far more better. Okay fanboying Viking civ aside.

Quickest game gold rush, i reckon having men in chicken suits would have made Larry smush better. Xbow without bodkin was a misplay as well as losing 4+ vills to maa . Larry winning medi was great though. Expected 4-3 And was hoping Larry to win but hey he did pretty good and viper is viper.

I think liereyys archer micro is best in the world. His fire galley and demo raft micro clearly isn’t - otherwise he wouldn’t have lost 3 docks vs 2 with 22 to 5 K/D. I don’t know about infantry and cavalry micro though, but for sure his archer micro is number one in the world.

Agree with the dream of a master of water tournament sometime...

I saw that too. But I would think that galleys are more similar to archers than to demo rafts/ships and fire galleys/ships.
