You really must believe that two bored students without any experience wrote a random piece of software more than ten years ago. I can't believe what I am reading here. Just wow.
Your statement/suggestion makes me feel like that it is supposed to happen with a snap of a finger. These issues would not even be arising, if time and money was not an issue. Your suggestion expects the same resource contribution that is in shortage, thus making your idea already a wild fantasy or better yet - HERESY.
Ya looking at the performance it does look like this. The other observation is your attitude on this. I can understand that my suggestions are flawed but all you say is hyperbole stuff. Re-evaluating the design is what gregstein also suggested and offcourse his suggestions are more grounded since he knows the tech architecture a lot better. In short, I dont think you are doing enough here and completely disregard suggestions yet the situation aint improving even a tiny bit.
