uhhh... they split MS into 4 lobbies which combined have far higher capacity than MS ever had players and you can be in all lobbies at the same time? It's probably an inconvenience rn, compared to the old state of the platform, but the administration of Voobly seems to want to increase the capacity again, depending on how their servers perform, so I guess it might go back to pretty much normal in the end.Yeah they changed the room capacity, if you want to join to medieval siege you have to buy premium membership 11 or switch to the other 2 rated lobbies, i am curious who said something in aoeforums about splitting the communities?
Get out of your rocks DE haters, say something!!

Did you just post same picture 3 times?
Anyway that allows more rooms. All rooms were taken when there is a lot players so Voobly needed add more lobbies
They also split new player lobbies, the upsetting stuff about Gaming Zone was exactly that lobbies with 300 capacity and most of them full all the time, leaving only those dead rated lobbies of agincourt or something like that.uhhh... they split MS into 4 lobbies which combined have far higher capacity than MS ever had players and you can be in all lobbies at the same time? And please, for the love of God, don't actively try to instigate another drama topic about DE vs Voobly, and I'm saying that being one of the "DE haters". There's just really no point.

It was before yesterday 2 lobbies with something around 1350+- capacity, now 4 of them with 600, don't you get it? if you want to find games or play with your friends you have to get into one of the full lobbies
I think it's wrong to look at is as a 'feature' you can either agree or disagree with, because that's obviously not what it's meant to be. From what I gather, Voobly has been having some heavy issues with keeping up with its recent massive increase in popularity, and this is meant to be a semi-temporary solution. (you can think of it as something similar to what DE has with pathfinding: it's bad, but there's a promise of improvement so it's not terrible)They also split new player lobbies, the upsetting stuff about Gaming Zone was exactly that lobbies with 300 capacity and most of them full all the time, leaving only those dead rated lobbies of agincourt or something like that.

Just because you don't like DE to be the future, you don't have to justify bad ideas in order to milk the player base, if there wasn't enough game rooms, why don't add more? after the corona boom in gaming one lobby was full and the other had only 200-300 players, something reasonable would have been two lobbies with 1000 limit if they were pushing the servers, there is no justification to have 4 with less space..few of my friends who still playing there were really pissed about it.
Anyway you are right, no need to create drama, those who still playing there have to speak out loud.
Yeah, of course it is. But it does not solve the technical problems we are having, and crashes caused by high server load.I dont know how things works, but for me 1 bigger lobby seems better than 4 small one. You can find better games in one 1 big lobby than 4 small lobbies.
We have published an announcement regarding the lobby changes: https://www.voobly.com/forum/thread/322913/
We apologize for any inconvenience, unfortunately it is impossible to cover the costs for another server at this time.
How about this:
- Lobby #1: Black Forest
- Lobby #2: Arabia
- Lobby #3: Land Nomad
- Lobby #4: Other
Those lobbies could be deployed as Casual and Rated. Each lobby would have its own 1v1 and TG ladder, e. g. BF Ladder TG and 1v1, Arabia Ladder TG and 1v1 etc.
Thoughts?
Then we could also reset our ladders.
I prefer a variation of @kw1k000000 's classification.
I'm more likely to differentiate between wanting to play 1v1, TG' s or DM than I am about what map I'm playing on. So different lobbies for the different modes would be first preference, followed by the version of the game (1v1 Wololo; 1v1 AoC etc...)

But I don't have enough data to segment correctly
