According to Reddit he said on his discord it's "unlikely" he will make it.
So there does seem to be more than just that one statement posted above.

I checked his discord - apart from the screenshot in OP and english clarification, there was no recent news about RBWL participation, and definitely not anything like "unlikely" or "probably".

Not impossible, but not provable either. I didn't find any screenshot, any quote, in any place where this was talked about. Only references to a reddit thread. Therefore, I'm gonna assume it was just someone panicking and seeing an american possum where it was actually an australian one.

To clarify, I don't think Vinchester explicitly said that they were most likely going to be replaced. I didn't actually read it, but from what I've heard, he was answering a question on why there was an extra qualification stage. I could be wrong, though.
Either way, it's not a secret that some places are proving to be more challenging than others.
I know that Red Bull is working extremely hard to make it happen, and there's definitely nothing conclusive yet. We did have the extra qualifier because it's a possibility, but we are definitely giving it everything we have before turning to the additional qualifier results.
